पांवटा साहिब के पुलिस थाना पुरूवाला क्षेत्र में हिट एंड रन का एक दर्दनाक मामला सामने आया है। हरिपुर टोहाना स्थित जुगनू दी हट्टी के सामने मोड़ पर एक अज्ञात डंपर ने मोटरसाइकिल को टक्कर मार दी, जिससे बाइक सवार सुरेश कुमार (पुत्र जोगिंदर सिंह), निवासी गांव काशीपुर, गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए। स्थानीय लोगों की मदद से उन्हें तुरंत सिविल अस्पताल पांवटा साहिब पहुंचाया गया, जहां चिकित्सकों ने उन्हें मृत घोषित कर दिया। हादसे के बाद डंपर चालक वाहन सहित मौके से फरार हो गया। घटना के संबंध में दीगेश चौहान पुत्र हरिराज सिंह, हाल निवासी हरिपुर टोहाना (डाकघर शिवपुर, तहसील पांवटा साहिब) ने थाना पुरूवाला में शिकायत दर्ज करवाई है। शिकायत के अनुसार अज्ञात डंपर चालक ने मोटरसाइकिल (एचपी-17ई-6852) को जुगनू दी हट्टी के सामने स्थित मोड़ पर टक्कर मार दी, जिससे यह हादसा हुआ। एसपी सिरमौर एनएस नेगी ने बताया कि पुलिस ने अज्ञात डंपर चालक के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर लिया है। फरार चालक की तलाश जारी है। पुलिस घटनास्थल के आसपास लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरों की फुटेज खंगाल रही है तथा अन्य साक्ष्यों के आधार पर मामले की गहन जांच की जा रही है।

A tragic hit-and-run incident has been reported from the Puruwala police station area in Paonta Sahib. An unidentified dumper collided with a motorcycle at a bend near 'Jugnu Di Hatti' in Haripur Tohana, leaving the rider, Suresh Kumar (son of Joginder Singh)—a resident of Kashipur village—critically injured. With the help of locals, he was immediately rushed to the Civil Hospital in Paonta Sahib, where doctors declared him dead. Following the accident, the dumper driver fled the scene with the vehicle. Digesh Chauhan (son of Hariraj Singh), currently residing in Haripur Tohana (Post Office Shivpur, Tehsil Paonta Sahib), has lodged a complaint at the Puruwala police station regarding the incident. According to the complaint, the unidentified dumper driver struck the motorcycle (HP-17E-6852) at the bend near 'Jugnu Di Hatti,' causing the accident. Sirmaur SP NS Negi stated that the police have registered a case against the unidentified dumper driver. A search for the absconding driver is underway. The police are examining footage from CCTV cameras installed near the scene and are conducting a thorough investigation based on other available evidence.
