विद्यार्थियों, शिक्षकों और कर्मचारियों की सुरक्षा को सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता देते हुए राजकीय महाविद्यालय, पांवटा साहिब ने एक महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि हासिल की है। महाविद्यालय परिसर में लगभग 9 लाख रुपये की लागत से अत्याधुनिक फिक्स्ड फायर फाइटिंग सिस्टम स्थापित किया गया है। इसके साथ ही यह जिला सिरमौर का पहला राजकीय महाविद्यालय बन गया है, जहां इस प्रकार की आधुनिक एवं स्थायी अग्नि सुरक्षा प्रणाली स्थापित की गई है। वर्ष 1994 में स्थापित तथा NAAC ‘A’ ग्रेड से मान्यता प्राप्त इस महाविद्यालय में स्थापित यह प्रणाली आग लगने जैसी आपात स्थिति में स्वतः सक्रिय होकर प्रारंभिक स्तर पर आग पर नियंत्रण करने में सक्षम होगी। इससे जन-धन की हानि की संभावना को काफी हद तक कम किया जा सकेगा। महाविद्यालय के प्राचार्य डॉ. जगदीश चौहान ने बताया कि संस्थान में विज्ञान प्रयोगशालाएं, कंप्यूटर लैब, पुस्तकालय, प्रशासनिक कार्यालय सहित कई महत्वपूर्ण संसाधन मौजूद हैं। ऐसे में आधुनिक अग्नि सुरक्षा प्रणाली इन परिसंपत्तियों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के साथ विद्यार्थियों एवं कर्मचारियों को सुरक्षित शैक्षणिक वातावरण भी प्रदान करेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि यह प्रणाली राष्ट्रीय अग्नि सुरक्षा मानकों के अनुरूप विकसित की गई है और भविष्य की आवश्यकताओं को ध्यान में रखकर स्थापित की गई है। प्राचार्य ने कहा कि राजकीय महाविद्यालय पांवटा साहिब शिक्षा के साथ-साथ आधुनिक आधारभूत सुविधाओं, सुरक्षा मानकों और नवाचारों को अपनाने में हमेशा अग्रणी रहा है। उन्होंने विश्वास जताया कि यह पहल प्रदेश के अन्य राजकीय महाविद्यालयों के लिए भी प्रेरणास्रोत बनेगी। महाविद्यालय प्रशासन ने इस उपलब्धि को विद्यार्थियों, अभिभावकों और पूरे क्षेत्र के लिए गर्व का विषय बताते हुए भविष्य में भी सुरक्षित, आधुनिक और गुणवत्तापूर्ण शैक्षणिक वातावरण उपलब्ध कराने की प्रतिबद्धता दोहराई।

Prioritizing the safety of students, faculty, and staff, Government College, Paonta Sahib has achieved a significant milestone. A state-of-the-art fixed fire-fighting system has been installed on the college campus at a cost of approximately ₹9 lakh. With this, it has become the first government college in the Sirmaur district to have such a modern and permanent fire safety system in place. Established in 1994 and accredited with a NAAC 'A' grade, the college is now equipped with a system capable of automatically activating during fire emergencies to bring the fire under control at the initial stage. This will significantly reduce the risk of loss of life and property. College Principal Dr. Jagdish Chauhan stated that the institution houses several vital facilities, including science laboratories, computer labs, a library, and administrative offices. Consequently, the modern fire safety system will not only ensure the protection of these assets but also provide a safe academic environment for students and staff. He noted that the system has been developed in compliance with national fire safety standards and installed with future requirements in mind. The Principal remarked that Government College, Paonta Sahib has always been at the forefront of adopting modern infrastructure, safety standards, and innovations alongside education. He expressed confidence that this initiative would serve as an inspiration for other government colleges across the state. Describing this achievement as a matter of pride for students, parents, and the entire region, the college administration reiterated its commitment to providing a safe, modern, and high-quality academic environment in the future.
