नवप्रवेशी विद्यार्थियों का महाविद्यालय शिलाई में स्वागत, ओरिएंटेशन कार्यक्रम से मिली नई शुरुआत

राजकीय महाविद्यालय शिलाई में शैक्षणिक सत्र 2026-27 के नवप्रवेशी विद्यार्थियों के लिए मंगलवार को इंडक्शन (ओरिएंटेशन) कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों को महाविद्यालय की शैक्षणिक व्यवस्था, राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति (NEP-2020), सेमेस्टर प्रणाली, विषय संयोजन, आंतरिक मूल्यांकन, परीक्षा प्रणाली तथा विभिन्न छात्र सहायता सेवाओं से परिचित कराना था। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता महाविद्यालय के प्राचार्य प्रो. गोपाल शर्मा ने की। उन्होंने नवप्रवेशी विद्यार्थियों का स्वागत करते हुए कहा कि महाविद्यालय जीवन केवल डिग्री प्राप्त करने तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि यह व्यक्तित्व विकास, अनुशासन और नैतिक मूल्यों को आत्मसात करने का भी महत्वपूर्ण चरण है। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों से नियमित उपस्थिति बनाए रखने और शैक्षणिक एवं सह-पाठ्यक्रम गतिविधियों में सक्रिय भागीदारी का आह्वान किया। कार्यक्रम के दौरान विभिन्न प्राध्यापकों ने विद्यार्थियों को महाविद्यालय की शैक्षणिक गतिविधियों, पुस्तकालय, राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना (एनएसएस), खेलकूद, एंटी-रैगिंग प्रकोष्ठ, करियर मार्गदर्शन प्रकोष्ठ तथा अन्य संस्थागत समितियों की कार्यप्रणाली से अवगत कराया। साथ ही परीक्षा नियमों, क्रेडिट आधारित प्रणाली और महाविद्यालय में उपलब्ध सुविधाओं की विस्तृत जानकारी भी दी गई।महाविद्यालय प्रशासन ने विश्वास जताया कि इस ओरिएंटेशन कार्यक्रम से नवप्रवेशी विद्यार्थियों को महाविद्यालयीन जीवन को बेहतर ढंग से समझने और अपने शैक्षणिक भविष्य की मजबूत नींव रखने में सहायता मिलेगी।
New Students Welcomed at Government College Shillai; Orientation Program Marks a Fresh Start

An induction (orientation) program was organized on Tuesday at Government College Shillai for students newly admitted for the 2026-27 academic session. The program aimed to familiarize students with the college's academic structure, the National Education Policy (NEP-2020), the semester system, subject combinations, internal assessment, the examination system, and various student support services. College Principal Prof. Gopal Sharma presided over the event. While welcoming the new students, he remarked that college life is not limited merely to obtaining a degree; rather, it is a crucial phase for personality development, discipline, and the internalization of moral values. He urged the students to maintain regular attendance and participate actively in both academic and co-curricular activities. During the program, various faculty members briefed the students on the college's academic activities, library facilities, the National Service Scheme (NSS), sports, the anti-ragging cell, the career guidance cell, and the functioning of other institutional committees. Detailed information regarding examination rules, the credit-based system, and available college facilities was also provided. The college administration expressed confidence that this orientation program would help the new students better understand college life and lay a strong foundation for their academic future.
