पांवटा साहिब और आसपास के क्षेत्रों में स्वाइन फ्लू के मामले सामने आने से स्वास्थ्य प्रशासन अलर्ट हो गया है। सिविल अस्पताल पांवटा साहिब में पिछले चार दिनों के दौरान तेज बुखार, खांसी और सांस लेने में तकलीफ की शिकायत लेकर अलग-अलग इलाकों से मरीज पहुंचे थे। मरीजों की स्थिति और लक्षणों को देखते हुए डॉक्टरों ने एहतियातन उनके स्वाइन फ्लू सैंपल जांच के लिए भेजे थे, जिनमें संक्रमण की पुष्टि हुई है। सिविल अस्पताल के वरिष्ठ चिकित्सा अधिकारी डॉ. अंकुर धीमान ने स्थिति स्पष्ट करते हुए बताया कि कुल तीन मरीजों में स्वाइन फ्लू की पुष्टि हुई है। इनमें से एक मरीज को सिविल अस्पताल के आइसोलेशन वार्ड में भर्ती रखकर इलाज दिया जा रहा है। वहीं, दो अन्य मरीजों की हालत स्थिर होने के कारण उन्हें आवश्यक दवाएं देकर घर पर ही होम आइसोलेशन में रहने की सलाह दी गई है। H1N1, जिसे आम बोलचाल में स्वाइन फ्लू कहा जाता है, इन्फ्लूएंजा 'ए' वायरस का एक संक्रामक स्ट्रेन है जो इंसानों के श्वसन तंत्र (सांस की नली और फेफड़ों) को प्रभावित करता है। मूल रूप से यह सूअरों में पाए जाने वाले वायरस से उत्पन्न हुआ था, लेकिन अब यह आम मौसमी फ्लू की तरह एक इंसान से दूसरे इंसान में आसानी से फैलता है। यह संक्रमण मुख्य रूप से हवा के माध्यम से फैलता है, जब कोई संक्रमित व्यक्ति छींकता या खांसता है तो उसकी सांस की बूंदें हवा में फैल जाती हैं। इसके मुख्य लक्षणों में तेज बुखार, बलगम या सूखी खांसी, गले में खराश, सांस फूलना, सिरदर्द और शरीर में तेज दर्द शामिल हैं। बचाव के लिए भीड़भाड़ वाली जगहों पर मास्क पहनना, बार-बार साबुन से हाथ धोना और अस्वस्थ महसूस होने पर दूसरों से दूरी बनाए रखना बेहद जरूरी है। लक्षण दिखाई देने पर तुरंत नजदीकी सरकारी अस्पताल में डॉक्टर को दिखाना चाहिए ताकि समय पर जांच और सही इलाज शुरू हो सके।

The health administration has been put on alert following the emergence of swine flu cases in Paonta Sahib and surrounding areas. Over the past four days, patients from various localities arrived at the Civil Hospital in Paonta Sahib complaining of high fever, cough, and breathing difficulties. Given their condition and symptoms, doctors sent samples for swine flu testing as a precaution, and the infection was subsequently confirmed. Dr. Ankur Dhiman, Senior Medical Officer at the Civil Hospital, clarified the situation, stating that swine flu has been confirmed in a total of three patients. One patient is currently admitted to the hospital's isolation ward and undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, the other two patients are in stable condition; they have been prescribed necessary medication and advised to remain in home isolation. H1N1—commonly known as swine flu—is a contagious strain of the Influenza A virus that affects the human respiratory system (airways and lungs). Although it originated from a virus found in pigs, it now spreads easily from person to person, much like the common seasonal flu. The infection primarily spreads through the air; when an infected person sneezes or coughs, respiratory droplets are released into the atmosphere. Key symptoms include high fever, productive or dry cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, headache, and severe body aches. Preventive measures include wearing masks in crowded places, washing hands frequently with soap, and maintaining distance from others if feeling unwell. If symptoms appear, one should immediately consult a doctor at the nearest government hospital to ensure timely testing and appropriate treatment.
