भारी बारिश का कहर: देहरादून-मसूरी रोड का 10 मीटर हिस्सा धंसा, यातायात बंद

देहरादून: उत्तराखंड में लगातार हो रही भारी बारिश के चलते देहरादून-मसूरी राजमार्ग पर पानीवाला बैंड के पास करीब 10 मीटर सड़क धंस गई। सड़क के नीचे बनी रिटेनिंग वॉल टूटने से सड़क का निचला हिस्सा खोखला हो गया। सुरक्षा के मद्देनजर प्रशासन ने इस मार्ग पर सभी वाहनों की आवाजाही पूरी तरह बंद कर दी है। के बाद लोक निर्माण विभाग (PWD) की टीम ने मौके पर पहुंचकर राहत कार्य शुरू कर दिया। विभाग की मशीनों से पहाड़ी की ओर कटान कर अस्थायी सड़क तैयार की जा रही है ताकि जल्द से जल्द यातायात बहाल किया जा सके। अधिकारियों के अनुसार सोमवार देर रात या मंगलवार सुबह तक मार्ग को फिर से खोलने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है। लोक निर्माण विभाग के अधिशासी अभियंता राजेश कुमार ने बताया कि रिटेनिंग वॉल के आसपास लगातार पानी के बहाव से जमीन कमजोर हो गई, जिससे दीवार खिसक गई और सड़क धंस गई। स्थायी मरम्मत के लिए विस्तृत एस्टीमेट तैयार किया जाएगा, जिसके बाद नई रिटेनिंग वॉल और सड़क के पुनर्निर्माण का कार्य शुरू होगा। प्रशासन ने यात्रियों से अपील की है कि वे देहरादून-मसूरी मार्ग पर यात्रा करने से पहले यातायात की ताजा जानकारी अवश्य लें और फिलहाल वैकल्पिक मार्गों का उपयोग करें। मौसम विभाग ने राज्य के कई क्षेत्रों में भारी बारिश की चेतावनी जारी की है, जिसके चलते लोगों को सतर्क रहने की सलाह दी गई है।

Due to incessant heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand, a stretch of approximately 10 meters on the Dehradun-Mussoorie highway collapsed near 'Paniwala Bend'. The collapse occurred after the retaining wall supporting the road gave way, leaving the section hollow underneath. As a safety precaution, the administration has completely halted the movement of all vehicles on this route. A team from the Public Works Department (PWD) arrived at the site and initiated relief operations. Machinery is being used to cut into the hillside to construct a temporary road, aiming to restore traffic as soon as possible. Officials stated that efforts are underway to reopen the route by late Monday night or Tuesday morning. Rajesh Kumar, Executive Engineer at the PWD, explained that continuous water flow around the retaining wall weakened the soil, causing the wall to shift and the road to collapse. A detailed estimate will be prepared for permanent repairs, followed by the construction of a new retaining wall and the rebuilding of the road. The administration has urged travelers to check for the latest traffic updates before attempting to use the Dehradun-Mussoorie route and to utilize alternative routes in the meantime. The Meteorological Department has issued warnings of heavy rain in several parts of the state, and the public has been advised to remain cautious.
