नगालैंड के मोन जिले में लगातार हो रही मूसलाधार बारिश ने भारी तबाही मचाई है। अचानक आई बाढ़ और भूस्खलन की घटनाओं में मरने वालों की संख्या बढ़कर नौ हो गई है। राज्य सरकार की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार मंगलवार को पांच और शव बरामद किए गए, जबकि चार लोग अब भी लापता हैं। लापता लोगों की तलाश के लिए राष्ट्रीय और राज्य आपदा राहत एजेंसियों की टीमें युद्ध स्तर पर खोज एवं बचाव अभियान चला रही हैं। जिला आपदा प्रबंधन अधिकारियों की प्रारंभिक रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, इस प्राकृतिक आपदा से राज्यभर में कम से कम 7,460 लोग प्रभावित हुए हैं। नागालैंड राज्य आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण (NSDMA) के अनुसार, मोन जिला सबसे अधिक प्रभावित है। यहां मोन टाउन के शांतम वार्ड में भूस्खलन की चपेट में आने से पांच लोगों की मौत हुई, जबकि अन्य इलाकों में भी कई जानें गईं। नागिनीमोरा क्षेत्र में अचानक आई बाढ़ में बह गए चार लोगों को सुरक्षित बचा लिया गया। इनमें एक व्यक्ति के पैर में फ्रैक्चर हुआ है, जबकि तीन अन्य को मामूली चोटें आई हैं। प्रारंभिक आकलन के अनुसार, राज्य के 10 जिलों के 93 गांव इस आपदा से प्रभावित हुए हैं। अब तक 64 घर क्षतिग्रस्त होने की पुष्टि हुई है, हालांकि अधिकारियों का कहना है कि सर्वेक्षण पूरा होने के बाद नुकसान का आंकड़ा और बढ़ सकता है। बाढ़ और भूस्खलन के कारण कई सड़कें और संपर्क मार्ग बाधित हो गए हैं, जिससे राहत एवं बचाव कार्य प्रभावित हो रहा है। प्राकृतिक आपदा का असर केवल लोगों तक सीमित नहीं रहा। बाढ़ और भूस्खलन के कारण अब तक कम से कम 83 मवेशियों की भी मौत हो चुकी है, जिससे प्रभावित परिवारों की आजीविका पर भी गंभीर संकट खड़ा हो गया है। राज्य सरकार ने प्रभावित इलाकों में राहत सामग्री पहुंचाने, अस्थायी शिविर स्थापित करने और आवश्यक सहायता उपलब्ध कराने के निर्देश दिए हैं। मौसम विभाग ने आने वाले दिनों में भी भारी बारिश की संभावना जताई है, जिसके चलते प्रशासन ने लोगों से सतर्क रहने और अनावश्यक यात्रा से बचने की अपील की है।

According to a state government report, five more bodies were recovered on Tuesday, while four people remain missing. Teams from national and state disaster relief agencies are conducting search and rescue operations on a war footing to locate the missing individuals. Preliminary reports from district disaster management officials indicate that at least 7,460 people across the state have been affected by this natural disaster. According to the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Mon district is the worst-hit area. Five people lost their lives after being struck by a landslide in the Shantham Ward of Mon Town, while several others died in other areas. Four people who had been swept away by flash floods in the Naginimora region were successfully rescued; one of them suffered a leg fracture, while the others sustained minor injuries. Preliminary assessments suggest that 93 villages across 10 districts of the state have been affected. While damage to 64 houses has been confirmed so far, officials state that the figures could rise once the survey is completed. Numerous roads and access routes have been disrupted by the floods and landslides, hampering relief and rescue operations. The impact of the disaster has not been limited to humans alone; at least 83 cattle have perished, posing a serious threat to the livelihoods of affected families. The state government has issued directives to deliver relief supplies, set up temporary camps, and provide necessary assistance in the affected areas. With the Meteorological Department forecasting heavy rain in the coming days, the administration has urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid unnecessary travel.
