हिमाचल प्रदेश के कांगड़ा जिले के खुंडियां थाना क्षेत्र में 14 वर्षीय छात्र की संदिग्ध मौत का मामला सामने आया है। छात्र के पिता की शिकायत पर पुलिस ने स्कूल के एमडी, प्रिंसिपल, होस्टल वार्डन और बस चालक के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी है। घटना ने प्रदेशभर में छात्रों की सुरक्षा और होस्टल व्यवस्था को लेकर गंभीर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं। मृतक छात्र के पिता, जो भारतीय सेना में सूबेदार हैं, ने आरोप लगाया है कि उनका इकलौता बेटा कबीर राणा लंबे समय से होस्टल में मानसिक और शारीरिक प्रताड़ना का शिकार था। उनके अनुसार, छात्र कई बार घर आकर होस्टल में मारपीट और दुर्व्यवहार की शिकायत करता था तथा वहां नहीं रहना चाहता था। शिकायत में कहा गया है कि 4 जुलाई को बस चालक द्वारा दिए गए पैसों में से 10 रुपये की आइसक्रीम खरीदने पर पहले बस चालक ने छात्र को डांटा और कथित रूप से उसके साथ मारपीट की। इसके बाद चालक ने इसकी शिकायत स्कूल प्रबंधन से की, जिसके बाद छात्र के साथ स्कूल में भी कथित रूप से मारपीट की गई। परिजनों का कहना है कि इस घटना के बाद वह मानसिक रूप से काफी परेशान था। पिता की शिकायत के आधार पर पुलिस ने संबंधित आरोपियों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर लिया है। पुलिस का कहना है कि मामले के सभी पहलुओं की निष्पक्ष जांच की जा रही है तथा साक्ष्यों और गवाहों के आधार पर आगे की कार्रवाई की जाएगी।फिलहाल छात्र की मौत के वास्तविक कारणों का पता जांच और पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट के बाद ही स्पष्ट हो सकेगा। पुलिस ने लोगों से अपील की है कि जांच पूरी होने तक किसी भी निष्कर्ष पर न पहुंचें।

A case involving the suspicious death of a 14-year-old student has come to light in the Khundian police station area of Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh. Acting on a complaint filed by the student's father, the police have registered a case against the school's Managing Director (MD), Principal, hostel warden, and bus driver, and have initiated an investigation. The incident has raised serious questions across the state regarding student safety and hostel management. The deceased student's father, a Subedar in the Indian Army, alleged that his only son, Kabir Rana, had long been a victim of mental and physical harassment at the hostel. According to him, the student frequently complained about being beaten and mistreated at the hostel and did not wish to stay there. The complaint states that on July 4, the bus driver scolded and allegedly assaulted the student after he bought an ice cream worth ₹10 using money provided by the driver. Subsequently, the driver reported the matter to the school management, leading to further alleged physical abuse of the student at the school. Family members stated that the student was deeply distressed mentally following this incident. Based on the father's complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused. The police stated that an impartial investigation into all aspects of the case is underway, and further action will be taken based on evidence and witness statements. The actual cause of the student's death will only be determined following the investigation and the post-mortem report. The police have appealed to the public not to jump to conclusions until the investigation is complete.
