राजीव गांधी की जयंती के अवसर पर मजदूर नेता एवं समाजसेवी प्रदीप चौहान ठूंडू ने उन्हें श्रद्धापूर्वक नमन करते हुए कहा कि राजीव गांधी ने भारत को आधुनिक, तकनीकी रूप से सक्षम और युवा शक्ति से समृद्ध राष्ट्र बनाने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कार्य किए। प्रदीप चौहान ठूंडू ने स्कूल के जरूरत्मद बच्चो को जुराबे दी प्रदीप चौहान ने कहा कि राजीव गांधी जी ने पंचायती राज व्यवस्था को मजबूत करने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण पहल की और गांवों को विकास की मुख्यधारा से जोड़ने का प्रयास किया। वहीं, 18 वर्ष की आयु में मतदान का अधिकार देकर उन्होंने देश के युवाओं को लोकतंत्र में अधिक भागीदारी का अवसर प्रदान किया। उन्होंने कहा कि राजीव गांधी के कार्यकाल में कंप्यूटर, सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी और दूरसंचार के क्षेत्र को बढ़ावा मिला, जिसने आगे चलकर भारत की IT क्रांति की मजबूत नींव तैयार की।ग्रामीण और दूरदराज क्षेत्रों तक संचार सुविधाओं के विस्तार की दिशा में भी महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाए गए।
उन्होंने बताया कि नई शिक्षा नीति 1986 के माध्यम से शिक्षा के आधुनिकीकरण और विस्तार पर जोर दिया गया। साथ ही जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालयों की शुरुआत ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों की प्रतिभाओं को बेहतर एवं गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा उपलब्ध कराने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण पहल थी। प्रदीप चौहान ठूंडू ने कहा कि राजीव गांधी जी का सपना भारत को 21वीं सदी का आधुनिक, शिक्षित और तकनीकी रूप से मजबूत राष्ट्र बनाना था। उन्होंने युवाओं, विज्ञान, तकनीक, शिक्षा और प्रशासनिक आधुनिकीकरण को विशेष महत्व दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि राजीव गांधी जी के विचार और उनके द्वारा किए गए कार्य आज भी देश के विकास की दिशा में प्रेरणा देते हैं। विशेषकर युवाओं और ग्रामीण भारत के उत्थान के लिए उनके योगदान को हमेशा याद किया जाएगा। प्रदीप चौहान ठूंडू ने राजीव गांधी जी को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करते हुए कहा कि आधुनिक भारत के निर्माण में उनके योगदान को देश सदैव सम्मान के साथ याद करता रहेगा। इस मौके पर SMC प्रधान सुरेश चौहान भी साथ रहे।

On the occasion of Rajiv Gandhi's birth anniversary, labor leader and social worker Pradeep Chauhan Thundu paid respectful tribute to him, stating that Rajiv Gandhi undertook significant work to transform India into a modern, technologically capable nation empowered by its youth. Pradeep Chauhan Thundu distributed socks to needy schoolchildren. He noted that Rajiv Gandhi took vital initiatives to strengthen the Panchayati Raj system and endeavored to bring villages into the mainstream of development. Furthermore, by granting the right to vote at the age of 18, he provided the country's youth with greater opportunities to participate in democracy. He mentioned that Rajiv Gandhi's tenure saw a boost in the sectors of computers, information technology, and telecommunications, which laid a strong foundation for India's subsequent IT revolution. Significant steps were also taken to expand communication facilities to rural and remote areas.
He highlighted that the New Education Policy of 1986 emphasized the modernization and expansion of education. Additionally, the establishment of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas was a crucial initiative aimed at providing superior, quality education to talented students from rural areas. Pradeep Chauhan Thundu stated that Rajiv Gandhi's vision was to build a modern, educated, and technologically robust India fit for the 21st century. He placed special emphasis on youth, science, technology, education, and administrative modernization. He remarked that Rajiv Gandhi's ideas and achievements continue to inspire the nation's development journey today. His contributions, particularly towards the upliftment of the youth and rural India, will always be remembered. While paying tribute, Pradeep Chauhan Thundu affirmed that the nation would forever honor Rajiv Gandhi's contribution to the making of modern India. SMC President Suresh Chauhan was also present on this occasion.
