शिमला: हिमाचल प्रदेश में भारी बारिश के बीच शुक्रवार सुबह भूकंप के झटके महसूस किए गए। भूकंप का असर चंबा जिले में रहा, जहां सुबह करीब 6 बजकर 36 मिनट पर धरती हिली। भूकंप के झटके महसूस होते ही लोगों में कुछ देर के लिए दहशत का माहौल बन गया। नेशनल सेंटर फॉर सिस्मोलॉजी ने चंबा में भूकंप आने की पुष्टि की है। शुरुआती जानकारी के मुताबिक, भूकंप के कारण जिले में किसी तरह के जान-माल के नुकसान की सूचना नहीं है। हालांकि, भारी बारिश के बीच भूकंप के झटकों से लोगों की चिंता बढ़ गई है। बता दें कि चंबा और हिमाचल के कई पहाड़ी क्षेत्र भूकंपीय दृष्टि से संवेदनशील माने जाते हैं। ऐसे में बारिश और भूस्खलन के खतरे के बीच भूकंप के झटकों ने स्थानीय लोगों की परेशानी बढ़ा दी है। प्रशासन की ओर से फिलहाल स्थिति पर नजर रखी जा रही है।

Shimla: Earthquake tremors were felt in Himachal Pradesh on Friday morning amidst heavy rainfall. The impact was felt in Chamba district, where the ground shook at approximately 6:36 AM. Panic briefly gripped the residents as the tremors were felt. The National Center for Seismology has confirmed the earthquake in Chamba. According to initial reports, there has been no loss of life or property in the district due to the quake. However, the tremors occurring amidst heavy rain have heightened public anxiety. It is worth noting that Chamba and several other mountainous regions of Himachal are considered seismically sensitive. Consequently, the earthquake tremors have compounded the difficulties faced by locals, who are already dealing with the risks of rain and landslides. The administration is currently monitoring the situation.
