रक्तदान को महादान मानते हुए जिले के रक्तदाता समूह के सदस्यों ने अगस्त माह में भी जरूरतमंद मरीजों की मदद के लिए सराहनीय कार्य किया। 1 अगस्त से 31 अगस्त 2026 तक ग्रुप के माध्यम से कुल 41 यूनिट रक्तदान किया गया। इनमें मेडिकल कॉलेज नाहन के मरीजों के लिए ए पॉजिटिव की 5, ओ पॉजिटिव की 2, एबी नेगेटिव की 1 और बी पॉजिटिव की 7 यूनिट शामिल हैं। ग्रुप के सदस्यों ने नाहन के अलावा चंडीगढ़, पंचकूला, मोहाली, शिमला, देहरादून और ऋषिकेश सहित विभिन्न अस्पतालों में पहुंचकर जरूरतमंद मरीजों के लिए रक्त एवं प्लेटलेट्स उपलब्ध करवाए। सदस्य भूपेंद्र ठाकुर ने पीजीआई चंडीगढ़ पहुंचकर ए पॉजिटिव रक्तदान किया। अनूप ने अलकेमिस्ट अस्पताल पंचकूला में एबी पॉजिटिव प्लेटलेट्स दान किए। वहीं प्रिंस सैनी ने एमएमयू मौलाना मेडिकल कॉलेज, हरियाणा में एबी पॉजिटिव रक्तदान किया। देव अत्रि ने फोर्टिस अस्पताल मोहाली में बी पॉजिटिव प्लेटलेट्स दान किए।
पीजीआई चंडीगढ़, पंचकूला और मोहाली में जरूरतमंद मरीजों के लिए अध्यक्ष सलमान खान ने तीन यूनिट तथा अखिल माहेश्वरी ने मोहाली व पंचकूला में जिला सिरमौर के मरीजों के लिए चार यूनिट रक्त की व्यवस्था करवाई। इसी तरह कपिल नेगी ने आईजीएमसी शिमला में दो यूनिट एबी पॉजिटिव, पीजीआई चंडीगढ़ में दो यूनिट ओ नेगेटिव और जॉली ग्रांट देहरादून में दो यूनिट ओ पॉजिटिव रक्त की जरूरत पूरी करवाई। नदीम खान ने एम्स ऋषिकेश में चार यूनिट रक्तदान करवाया। साहिल ने आईजीएमसी शिमला में उपचाराधीन नाहन के मरीज के लिए ए पॉजिटिव रक्तदान किया। वहीं तरुण धीमान ने टांडा मेडिकल कॉलेज कांगड़ा में चार यूनिट बी पॉजिटिव रक्तदान करवाया।ग्रुप के सदस्यों ने कहा कि जरूरतमंद मरीजों तक समय पर रक्त पहुंचाने की यह सेवा सभी सदस्यों के सहयोग, समर्पण और दिन-रात की मेहनत से संभव हो रही है। उन्होंने लोगों से भी रक्तदान के लिए आगे आने और जरूरतमंदों की मदद करने की अपील की।

Viewing blood donation as a noble act (*Maha-daan*), members of the district's blood donor group performed commendable work in August to assist patients in need. A total of 41 units of blood were donated through the group between August 1 and August 31, 2026. This included units for patients at Medical College Nahan: 5 units of A-positive, 2 of O-positive, 1 of AB-negative, and 7 of B-positive. Beyond Nahan, group members traveled to hospitals in Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali, Shimla, Dehradun, and Rishikesh to provide blood and platelets to needy patients. Member Bhupendra Thakur visited PGI Chandigarh to donate A-positive blood. Anoop donated AB-positive platelets at Alchemist Hospital, Panchkula. Meanwhile, Prince Saini donated AB-positive blood at MMU Mullana Medical College, Haryana, and Dev Atri donated B-positive platelets at Fortis Hospital, Mohali.
Group President Salman Khan arranged for three units of blood for needy patients in PGI Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali, while Akhil Maheshwari facilitated four units for patients from Sirmaur district in Mohali and Panchkula. Similarly, Kapil Negi arranged for two units of AB-positive blood at IGMC Shimla, two units of O-negative at PGI Chandigarh, and two units of O-positive at Jolly Grant, Dehradun. Nadeem Khan facilitated the donation of four units at AIIMS Rishikesh. Sahil donated A-positive blood at IGMC Shimla for a patient from Nahan undergoing treatment there. Meanwhile, Tarun Dhiman facilitated the donation of four units of B-positive blood at Tanda Medical College, Kangra. Group members stated that this service of delivering blood to needy patients on time is made possible through the cooperation, dedication, and tireless efforts of all members. They also appealed to the public to come forward to donate blood and help those in need.
