कुल्लू जिले में शराब की बोतलों पर निर्धारित एमआरपी से अधिक कीमत वसूलने के मामले में आबकारी विभाग ने बड़ी कार्रवाई की है। पर्यटकों से ओवरचार्जिंग की शिकायत मिलने के बाद विभाग ने छह शराब ठेकों को एक दिन के लिए सील कर दिया। जानकारी के अनुसार, पर्यटकों ने शराब की निर्धारित कीमत से अधिक राशि वसूलने की शिकायत विभाग के अधिकारियों से की थी। शिकायतों के आधार पर जांच के बाद संबंधित ठेकों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की गई। विभाग ने प्रत्येक ठेके पर 25 हजार रुपये का जुर्माना भी लगाया है। आबकारी विभाग की इस कार्रवाई के बाद शराब कारोबारियों में हड़कंप मच गया है। विभाग ने स्पष्ट किया है कि शराब की बिक्री निर्धारित एमआरपी से अधिक कीमत पर नहीं की जा सकती। नियमों का उल्लंघन करने वाले दुकानदारों के खिलाफ आगे भी कार्रवाई की जाएगी। विभाग ने स्थानीय लोगों और पर्यटकों से अपील की है कि यदि किसी शराब ठेके पर एमआरपी से अधिक कीमत वसूली जाती है तो इसकी शिकायत संबंधित विभाग को दी जाए। अधिकारियों का कहना है कि ओवरचार्जिंग को किसी भी सूरत में बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जाएगा।

The Excise Department has taken major action in Kullu district against liquor vends for charging prices higher than the prescribed MRP. Following complaints from tourists regarding overcharging, the department sealed six liquor vends for one day. According to reports, tourists had complained to department officials about being charged more than the fixed price for liquor. Action was taken against the concerned vends after an investigation based on these complaints. The department has also imposed a fine of ₹25,000 on each of the vends. This move by the Excise Department has caused a stir among liquor traders. The department has clarified that liquor cannot be sold at prices exceeding the prescribed MRP and that further action will be taken against shopkeepers who violate the rules. The department has appealed to locals and tourists to report any instances of overcharging above the MRP to the concerned authorities. Officials stated that overcharging will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
