नाहन क्षेत्र में बढ़ती नशे की समस्या और चिट्टे के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की मांग को लेकर सामाजिक कार्यकर्ताओं ने जिला प्रशासन का ध्यान आकर्षित किया। इसी कड़ी में अमरजीत परमार के नेतृत्व में प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने उपायुक्त को ज्ञापन सौंपकर चिट्टे के बढ़ते प्रचलन पर रोक लगाने की मांग की। प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने कहा कि नशे की चपेट में आने से युवा पीढ़ी का भविष्य प्रभावित हो रहा है। चिट्टे के कारोबार से जुड़े लोगों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की जरूरत है, ताकि युवाओं को इस नशे से बचाया जा सके। उन्होंने प्रशासन और पुलिस से नशे की तस्करी करने वालों पर कड़ी निगरानी रखने तथा दोषियों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई करने की मांग की। अमरजीत परमार ने कहा कि चिट्टे के खात्मे के लिए प्रशासन, पुलिस और समाज को मिलकर प्रयास करने होंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि केवल कार्रवाई ही नहीं, बल्कि युवाओं को नशे से दूर रखने के लिए जागरूकता अभियान और सकारात्मक गतिविधियों को भी बढ़ावा देना जरूरी है। प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने प्रशासन से ज्ञापन में उठाई गई मांगों पर जल्द कार्रवाई करने की अपील की।

Social activists drew the attention of the district administration to the rising drug menace in the Nahan area and demanded action against 'Chitta' (synthetic drugs). In this regard, a delegation led by Amarjit Parmar submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, demanding a curb on the growing prevalence of 'Chitta'. The delegation stated that the future of the younger generation is being jeopardized by drug abuse. They emphasized the need for strict action against those involved in the 'Chitta' trade to protect the youth from this addiction. They urged the administration and the police to maintain strict surveillance on drug traffickers and take stringent action against the guilty. Amarjit Parmar stated that the administration, police, and society must make concerted efforts to eradicate 'Chitta'. He added that beyond mere enforcement, it is essential to promote awareness campaigns and positive activities to keep the youth away from drugs. The delegation appealed to the administration to take prompt action on the demands raised in the memorandum.
