दुर्गेश अरण्य अंतरराष्ट्रीय प्राणी उद्यान में बनेगा थीमैटिक गार्डन, मुख्यमंत्री ने जारी किए 4 करोड़ रुपये

शिमला: हिमाचल प्रदेश सरकार ने जैव विविधता संरक्षण और प्रकृति आधारित पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाया है। मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू ने कांगड़ा जिले के देहरा स्थित दुर्गेश अरण्य अंतरराष्ट्रीय प्राणी उद्यान में विकसित होने वाली थीमैटिक गार्डन परियोजना का शुभारंभ किया। इस परियोजना के लिए मुख्यमंत्री ने हिमाचल प्रदेश राज्य जैव विविधता बोर्ड के माध्यम से मुख्य वन्यजीव संरक्षक को 4 करोड़ रुपये की राशि जारी की। करीब 22,247 वर्गमीटर क्षेत्र में विकसित होने वाला यह गार्डन पर्यटकों को हिमाचल की समृद्ध वनस्पतियों और प्राकृतिक धरोहर से रूबरू कराएगा। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि यह परियोजना पर्यावरण संरक्षण, वैज्ञानिक अनुसंधान और ईको-टूरिज्म को नई दिशा देगी। गार्डन में फिकेरियम, आर्बोरेटम, बैंबूसेटम और वॉच टावर जैसी विशेष सुविधाएं विकसित की जाएंगी। फिकेरियम में फाइकस की विभिन्न प्रजातियों, आर्बोरेटम में देशी-विदेशी पेड़ों तथा बैंबूसेटम में बांस की विविध प्रजातियों का प्रदर्शन किया जाएगा। वॉच टावर से पर्यटक आसपास के प्राकृतिक दृश्यों का आनंद ले सकेंगे। मुख्यमंत्री सुक्खू ने कहा कि यह परियोजना विद्यार्थियों, शोधकर्ताओं और प्रकृति प्रेमियों के लिए सीखने और शोध का महत्वपूर्ण केंद्र बनेगी। उन्होंने विश्वास जताया कि परियोजना पूरी होने के बाद यह देश में जैव विविधता संरक्षण और प्रकृति आधारित पर्यटन का आदर्श मॉडल बनेगी। परियोजना का क्रियान्वयन मुख्य वन्यजीव संरक्षक द्वारा किया जाएगा, जबकि हिमाचल प्रदेश राज्य जैव विविधता बोर्ड तकनीकी सहयोग और मार्गदर्शन प्रदान करेगा।

Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh government has taken a significant step towards promoting biodiversity conservation and nature-based tourism. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu launched a project to develop a thematic garden at the Durgesh Aranya International Zoological Park in Dehra, Kangra district. For this project, the Chief Minister released a sum of ₹4 crore to the Chief Wildlife Warden through the Himachal Pradesh State Biodiversity Board. Spanning an area of ​​approximately 22,247 square meters, the garden will introduce tourists to Himachal's rich flora and natural heritage. The Chief Minister stated that this project would provide a new direction to environmental conservation, scientific research, and eco-tourism. Special facilities such as a ficarium, arboretum, bambusetum, and a watchtower will be developed within the garden. The ficarium will showcase various species of *Ficus*, the arboretum will display indigenous and exotic trees, and the bambusetum will feature diverse bamboo species. From the watchtower, tourists will be able to enjoy the surrounding natural scenery. Chief Minister Sukhu remarked that the project would serve as a vital hub for learning and research for students, researchers, and nature enthusiasts. He expressed confidence that upon completion, the project would become a model for biodiversity conservation and nature-based tourism in the country. The project will be implemented by the Chief Wildlife Warden, while the Himachal Pradesh State Biodiversity Board will provide technical support and guidance.
