देहरादून: कांवड़ यात्रा के दौरान दिल्ली जाने वाले यात्रियों के लिए राहत भरी खबर है। उत्तराखंड परिवहन निगम ने फैसला किया है कि मेले की अवधि में देहरादून से दिल्ली जाने वाली सभी बसों का संचालन दिल्ली-देहरादून एक्सप्रेसवे से किया जाएगा। अब तक केवल वॉल्वो और एसी बसें ही इस मार्ग से संचालित हो रही थीं, जबकि साधारण बसें पुराने रूट से भेजी जा रही थीं इस फैसले के बाद साधारण बसों से सफर करने वाले यात्रियों को भी ट्रैफिक जाम से काफी राहत मिलेगी। एक्सप्रेसवे के जरिए दिल्ली-देहरादून का सफर करीब साढ़े तीन घंटे में पूरा हो रहा है। कांवड़ यात्रा के दौरान पारंपरिक मार्गों पर भारी भीड़ और जाम की स्थिति को देखते हुए यह निर्णय लिया गया है पहले साधारण बसें बिहारीगढ़, छुटमलपुर, रुड़की, पुरकाजी, मुजफ्फरनगर, मेरठ और मोहन नगर होते हुए दिल्ली आईएसबीटी और आनंद विहार तक जाती थीं। इस मार्ग पर बीच-बीच के स्टॉप से यात्रियों के चढ़ने और उतरने के कारण उत्तराखंड परिवहन निगम को अच्छा राजस्व प्राप्त होता था। हालांकि, सभी साधारण बसों को एक्सप्रेसवे से संचालित करने के फैसले से निगम को राजस्व में कुछ कमी का सामना करना पड़ सकता है। इसके बावजूद यात्रियों की सुविधा, समय की बचत और कांवड़ मेले के दौरान सुगम यातायात सुनिश्चित करने के उद्देश्य से परिवहन निगम ने यह महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाया है।
Relief for Delhi-bound travelers: Ordinary buses to also ply via Dehradun Expressway during Kanwar Yatra

Dehradun: There is welcome news for travelers heading to Delhi during the Kanwar Yatra. The Uttarakhand Transport Corporation has decided that, for the duration of the fair, all buses traveling from Dehradun to Delhi will operate via the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway. Until now, only Volvo and AC buses were using this route, while ordinary buses were being routed via the older path. With this decision, passengers traveling on ordinary buses will also experience significant relief from traffic congestion. The journey between Delhi and Dehradun via the expressway takes approximately three and a half hours. This decision was taken in view of the heavy crowds and traffic jams expected on traditional routes during the Kanwar Yatra. Previously, ordinary buses used to travel to Delhi ISBT and Anand Vihar via Biharigarh, Chhutmalpur, Roorkee, Purkaji, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, and Mohan Nagar. The Corporation used to generate substantial revenue from passengers boarding and alighting at intermediate stops along this route. However, the decision to route all ordinary buses via the expressway may result in some revenue loss for the Corporation. Nevertheless, the Transport Corporation has taken this significant step with the aim of ensuring passenger convenience, saving time, and maintaining smooth traffic flow during the Kanwar fair.
