Air India का बड़ा फैसला: सभी पायलटों की होगी ड्रग स्क्रीनिंग, फुकेत-दिल्ली फ्लाइट के बाद लिया निर्णय

नई दिल्ली: एयर इंडिया ने अपने सभी पायलटों की ड्रग स्क्रीनिंग कराने का फैसला किया है। एयरलाइन ने यह अनिवार्य जांच 13 अगस्त 2026 से शुरू कर दी है। एयर इंडिया का कहना है कि वह DGCA के नियमों का पालन करने के साथ-साथ सुरक्षा और प्रोफेशनलिज्म के उच्चतम मानकों को बनाए रखने के लिए अतिरिक्त कदम उठा रही है। यह फैसला 4 अगस्त को फुकेत-दिल्ली फ्लाइट AI2379 में हुई घटना के बाद लिया गया है। उड़ान के दौरान विमान अचानक करीब 300 फीट नीचे आ गया था, जिससे चार क्रू सदस्यों समेत 24 लोग घायल हुए थे। घटना के बाद पायलट-इन-कमांड का ड्रग टेस्ट कराया गया। शुरुआती जांच में संदिग्ध परिणाम आने के बाद सैंपल को पुष्टि के लिए निर्धारित लैब भेजा गया, जहां पायलट के सैंपल में मारिजुआना की पुष्टि हुई। दोनों पायलटों को जांच पूरी होने तक ड्यूटी से हटा दिया गया है।एयर इंडिया के मुताबिक, पायलटों की स्क्रीनिंग गुरुग्राम अकादमी में ट्रेनिंग के दौरान, उड़ान के बाद फ्लाइट ब्रीफिंग सेंटर या एयर इंडिया कार्यालयों में अथवा संबंधित बेस द्वारा निर्धारित स्थानों पर की जाएगी। वहीं, फुकेत-दिल्ली फ्लाइट मामले की जांच कर रहा है। DGCA जांच के निष्कर्ष और निर्धारित टेस्टिंग प्रक्रिया के आधार पर आगे की नियामकीय कार्रवाई करेगा। एयरलाइन ने कहा कि यात्रियों का भरोसा उसकी सबसे महत्वपूर्ण संपत्ति है और इसे बनाए रखने के लिए हर संभव कदम उठाया जाएगा।

New Delhi: Air India has decided to conduct drug screenings for all its pilots. The airline implemented this mandatory testing starting August 13, 2024. Air India states that it is taking additional measures to uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism while complying with DGCA regulations. This decision follows an incident on August 4 involving the Phuket-Delhi flight (AI2379). During the flight, the aircraft suddenly dropped approximately 300 feet, resulting in injuries to 24 people, including four crew members. Following the incident, the pilot-in-command underwent a drug test. After initial screening yielded a suspicious result, the sample was sent to a designated laboratory for confirmation, where the presence of marijuana was confirmed. Both pilots have been grounded pending the completion of the investigation. According to Air India, pilot screening will be conducted during training at the Gurugram academy, at flight briefing centers or Air India offices post-flight, or at locations designated by the respective base. Meanwhile, the DGCA is investigating the Phuket-Delhi flight incident and will take further regulatory action based on the investigation's findings and established testing protocols. The airline stated that passenger trust is its most valuable asset and that every possible step will be taken to maintain it.
