सिरमौर जिले में कानून-व्यवस्था को और अधिक मजबूत बनाने तथा चोरी, लूटपाट और अन्य आपराधिक घटनाओं पर प्रभावी अंकुश लगाने के उद्देश्य से जिला पुलिस ने विशेष रात्रि गश्त अभियान शुरू किया है। पुलिस अधीक्षक निश्चित सिंह नेगी ने बताया कि जिले में विशेष पैट्रोलिंग टीमों का गठन किया गया है, जो रात 10 बजे से सुबह 4 बजे तक लगातार गश्त करेंगी। उन्होंने बताया कि ये टीमें जिले से गुजरने वाले सभी राष्ट्रीय और राज्य राजमार्गों के अलावा संवेदनशील एवं आंतरिक क्षेत्रों में भी तैनात रहेंगी। देर रात आवाजाही करने वाले संदिग्ध वाहनों और व्यक्तियों की गहन जांच की जाएगी, ताकि चोरी, लूटपाट और अन्य आपराधिक वारदातों को समय रहते रोका जा सके। एसपी ने कहा कि अभियान का मुख्य उद्देश्य सार्वजनिक और सुनसान स्थानों पर होने वाली नशाखोरी पर भी प्रभावी रोक लगाना है। पुलिस उन स्थानों पर विशेष निगरानी रखेगी, जहां लोग वाहनों में बैठकर, झाड़ियों या खंडहरों में शराब या अन्य नशीले पदार्थों का सेवन करते हैं। ऐसे स्थानों पर पुलिस नियमित रूप से दबिश देकर कार्रवाई करेगी। पुलिस अधीक्षक ने आम नागरिकों से भी सहयोग की अपील करते हुए कहा कि रात के समय अनावश्यक रूप से सुनसान स्थानों पर एकत्र न हों। यदि किसी भी स्थान पर कोई संदिग्ध व्यक्ति या गतिविधि दिखाई दे तो इसकी सूचना तुरंत नजदीकी पुलिस थाना या कंट्रोल रूम को दें। उन्होंने स्पष्ट चेतावनी दी कि सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर नशा करने, हुड़दंग मचाने या कानून-व्यवस्था भंग करने वालों के विरुद्ध बिना किसी रियायत के सख्त कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी। सिरमौर पुलिस का यह विशेष अभियान जिले में सुरक्षा व्यवस्था को और अधिक प्रभावी बनाने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कदम माना जा रहा है।

To further strengthen law and order and effectively curb theft, robbery, and other criminal incidents, the Sirmaur district police have launched a special night patrol campaign. Superintendent of Police (SP) Nishchit Singh Negi stated that special patrol teams have been constituted to conduct continuous patrols from 10 PM to 4 AM. He mentioned that these teams would be deployed not only on the national and state highways passing through the district but also in sensitive and interior areas. Suspicious vehicles and individuals moving late at night will undergo thorough checks to prevent theft, robbery, and other crimes in a timely manner. The SP added that a key objective of the campaign is to effectively curb substance abuse in public and secluded places. Police will maintain special surveillance on locations where people consume alcohol or other intoxicants while sitting in vehicles, or within bushes and dilapidated structures. Police will conduct regular raids and take action at such locations. Appealing for public cooperation, the SP urged citizens not to gather unnecessarily in secluded areas at night. He requested that any suspicious person or activity observed be immediately reported to the nearest police station or control room. He issued a stern warning that strict legal action, without any leniency, would be taken against those found consuming intoxicants, creating a ruckus, or disturbing law and order in public places. This special campaign by the Sirmaur police is considered a significant step towards enhancing the security apparatus within the district.
