जिला सिरमौर के पांवटा साहिब की ग्राम पंचायत कुंजा मतरालियों में एंटी करप्शन क्राइम ब्यूरो, पंचायत पुलिस एवं नशा निवारण समिति के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में आयोजित नशा मुक्ति जागरूकता कार्यक्रम में युवाओं को नशे के खिलाफ एकजुट होने का आह्वान किया गया। वक्ताओं ने कहा कि नशा केवल एक व्यक्ति नहीं, बल्कि पूरे परिवार और समाज को खोखला कर देता है। यदि समय रहते इस पर अंकुश नहीं लगाया गया तो आने वाली पीढ़ियां इसका सबसे बड़ा खामियाजा भुगतेंगी। कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए एंटी करप्शन क्राइम ब्यूरो के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष इंदर सिंह ने कहा कि आज नशा युवाओं के सपनों और भविष्य को निगल रहा है। समाज के प्रत्येक नागरिक की जिम्मेदारी है कि वह नशे के खिलाफ आवाज उठाए और युवाओं को सही दिशा दिखाए। उन्होंने कहा कि जब तक समाज स्वयं आगे नहीं आएगा, तब तक इस सामाजिक बुराई को पूरी तरह समाप्त करना संभव नहीं होगा। हेड कांस्टेबल दयाल सिंह ने भी युवाओं से नशे से दूर रहने और अपने साथियों को भी इसके दुष्प्रभावों के प्रति जागरूक करने का आह्वान किया। कार्यक्रम में गवर्नमेंट कॉलेज की प्राचार्य, पंचायत के वार्ड सदस्य एवं बड़ी संख्या में ग्रामीण उपस्थित रहे। सभी ने “नशा छोड़ो, जीवन जोड़ो” का संकल्प लेते हुए अपने गांव और क्षेत्र को नशा मुक्त बनाने का प्रण लिया। कार्यक्रम के दौरान लोगों से अपील की गई कि नशे के कारोबार और इसके सेवन की जानकारी तुरंत पुलिस और संबंधित एजेंसियों को दें, ताकि समाज को इस अभिशाप से मुक्त कराया जा सके।

At a drug de-addiction awareness program held in the Kunja Matralion Gram Panchayat of Paonta Sahib, Sirmaur district—organized jointly by the Anti-Corruption Crime Bureau, Panchayat Police, and the Drug Prevention Committee—youth were urged to unite against substance abuse. Speakers emphasized that drug abuse hollows out not just the individual, but the entire family and society. They warned that if this issue is not curbed in time, future generations will bear the brunt of the consequences. Addressing the gathering, Inder Singh, State President of the Anti-Corruption Crime Bureau, stated that drug abuse is currently devouring the dreams and futures of the youth. He noted that it is the responsibility of every citizen to raise their voice against drugs and guide the youth in the right direction. He added that eradicating this social evil completely would not be possible unless society itself steps forward. Head Constable Dayal Singh also called upon the youth to stay away from drugs and to raise awareness among their peers about the harmful effects of substance abuse. The event was attended by the Government College Principal, Panchayat ward members, and a large number of villagers. Everyone took a pledge to "Quit Drugs, Embrace Life" and vowed to make their village and region drug-free. During the program, an appeal was made to the public to immediately report information regarding the drug trade and consumption to the police and relevant agencies, so that society could be freed from this scourge.
