सिरमौर जिले के उद्योगों में मजदूरों की सुरक्षा को लेकर मजदूर नेता प्रदीप चौहान ने प्रेस बयान जारी कर गंभीर चिंता व्यक्त की है। उन्होंने कहा कि हाल ही में एक फैक्ट्री की लिफ्ट में खराबी आने से एक कर्मचारी की मौत हो गई थी। उनके अनुसार, उस मामले में संबंधित विभाग ने कार्रवाई करते हुए परिजनों को मुआवजा दिलाया। प्रदीप चौहान ने कहा कि कुछ दिन पहले तिरुपति फैक्ट्री में भी जहरीले धुएं की घटना सामने आई थी, जिससे कर्मचारियों की जान खतरे में पड़ गई थी। उनका आरोप है कि इस मामले में अब तक प्रभावी कार्रवाई नहीं की गई है। उन्होंने पुलिस प्रशासन और जिला प्रशासन से मांग की कि दो दिनों के भीतर फैक्ट्री की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था की विस्तृत रिपोर्ट सार्वजनिक की जाए तथा यह बताया जाए कि भविष्य में गैस रिसाव जैसी घटनाओं को रोकने के लिए क्या-क्या सुरक्षा प्रबंध किए गए हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि यदि समय रहते आवश्यक कदम नहीं उठाए गए और भविष्य में कोई अप्रिय घटना होती है, तो इसकी जिम्मेदारी तय होनी चाहिए। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि यदि उचित कार्रवाई नहीं हुई तो वह इस मुद्दे को लेकर आवाज बुलंद करेंगे। प्रदीप चौहान ने कहा कि उनका उद्देश्य किसी उद्योग का विरोध करना नहीं, बल्कि उद्योगों में कार्यरत मजदूरों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करना और स्थानीय युवाओं को रोजगार दिलाना है। उन्होंने कहा, "मजदूर मेरे भाई हैं। उनकी सुरक्षा और रोजगार के लिए संघर्ष करना मेरा कर्तव्य है और इसके लिए मैं लगातार प्रयास करता रहूंगा।"

Labour leader Pradeep Chauhan has expressed serious concern regarding worker safety in the industries of Sirmaur district through a press statement. He noted that an employee recently lost his life due to a malfunctioning factory elevator; while the relevant department took action in that instance to secure compensation for the family, other issues remain unaddressed. Chauhan highlighted an incident at the Tirupati factory a few days ago involving toxic fumes, which put workers' lives at risk, alleging that no effective action has been taken regarding this matter so far. He demanded that the police and district administration release a detailed report on the factory's safety arrangements within two days and disclose the measures being implemented to prevent future incidents like gas leaks. He asserted that accountability must be fixed if necessary steps are not taken in time and an untoward incident occurs in the future. He further stated that he would raise his voice on this issue if appropriate action is not taken. Chauhan clarified that his objective is not to oppose any industry, but rather to ensure the safety of workers employed in these industries and to secure employment for local youth. He said, "The workers are my brothers. It is my duty to fight for their safety and employment, and I will continue to strive for this."
