जिला सिरमौर के शिलाई क्षेत्र स्थित राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय टिम्बी में चाइल्ड हेल्पलाइन सिरमौर की ओर से बाल सुरक्षा एवं अधिकारों को लेकर जागरूकता शिविर आयोजित किया गया।विद्यालय के प्रधानाचार्य की अध्यक्षता में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में 285 विद्यार्थियों और 19 शिक्षकों ने भाग लिया। शिविर के दौरान चाइल्ड हेल्पलाइन के केस वर्कर राजेश कुमार ने विद्यार्थियों को चाइल्ड हेल्पलाइन नंबर 1098 की सेवाओं, इसके महत्व तथा सही उपयोग की जानकारी दी। उन्होंने बच्चों को बताया कि किसी भी प्रकार की परेशानी या संकट की स्थिति में यह हेल्पलाइन उनकी सहायता के लिए उपलब्ध है तथा इसका दुरुपयोग नहीं किया जाना चाहिए। केस वर्कर राजेंद्र सिंह ने बच्चों को उनके मौलिक बाल अधिकारों के प्रति जागरूक करते हुए जिला बाल संरक्षण इकाई और बाल कल्याण समिति सिरमौर की भूमिका एवं कार्यप्रणाली से अवगत कराया। उन्होंने बच्चों को 'गुड टच-बैड टच', पॉक्सो अधिनियम (POCSO Act) और जुवेनाइल जस्टिस एक्ट (J.J. Act) के बारे में सरल भाषा में जानकारी दी। कार्यक्रम के दौरान बाल विवाह, बाल श्रम, नशे के दुष्प्रभाव और अन्य सामाजिक कुरीतियों से दूर रहने का संदेश भी दिया गया। साथ ही विद्यार्थियों को अनुशासित जीवन अपनाने, अपने अधिकारों के प्रति सजग रहने तथा किसी भी समस्या की स्थिति में बिना झिझक सहायता लेने के लिए प्रेरित किया गया।

An awareness camp regarding child safety and rights was organized by Child Helpline Sirmaur at Government Senior Secondary School, Timbi, in the Shillai area of Sirmaur district. A total of 285 students and 19 teachers participated in the event, which was held under the chairmanship of the school principal. During the camp, Child Helpline caseworker Rajesh Kumar briefed the students on the services, importance, and proper use of the Child Helpline number 1098. He informed the children that the helpline is available to assist them in any situation of distress or crisis and emphasized that it should not be misused. Caseworker Rajendra Singh raised awareness among the children about their fundamental child rights and explained the roles and functioning of the District Child Protection Unit and the Child Welfare Committee, Sirmaur. He explained concepts such as 'good touch/bad touch,' the POCSO Act, and the Juvenile Justice (J.J.) Act to the children in simple language. The program also conveyed messages urging students to stay away from child marriage, child labor, the ill effects of substance abuse, and other social evils. Additionally, students were encouraged to lead a disciplined life, remain vigilant about their rights, and seek help without hesitation whenever facing any problem.
