बागेश्वर: कपकोट के ऊपरी क्षेत्रों में रातभर हुई मूसलाधार बारिश के बाद सरयू नदी का जलस्तर अचानक बढ़ गया। शुक्रवार सुबह नदी उफान पर आ गई और भेसखाल पुल के ऊपर से पानी बहने लगा। हालात को देखते हुए प्रशासन ने नदी के आसपास के इलाके को खाली कराया और लोगों को सुरक्षित स्थानों पर जाने की हिदायत दी। तेज बारिश के कारण सरयू का बहाव बेहद तेज हो गया है। नदी कई स्थानों पर खतरे के करीब पहुंच गई, जिससे आसपास के क्षेत्रों में दहशत का माहौल है। जलस्तर बढ़ने के कारण क्षेत्र की कई सड़कें भी बाधित हुई हैं और लोगों की आवाजाही प्रभावित हुई है। प्रशासन और पुलिस की टीमें स्थिति पर नजर बनाए हुए हैं। प्रशासन ने लोगों से नदी और गदेरों के आसपास नहीं जाने तथा किसी भी तरह का जोखिम नहीं उठाने की अपील की है। भारी बारिश के बीच नदी के जलस्तर पर लगातार निगरानी रखी जा रही है।

Bageshwar: The water level of the Saryu River surged suddenly following torrential overnight rainfall in the upper reaches of Kapkot. By Friday morning, the river was in spate, with water flowing over the Bheshkhal Bridge. In light of the situation, the administration evacuated the area surrounding the river and advised residents to move to safer locations. Heavy rains have caused the Saryu's current to become extremely swift. The river has neared the danger mark at several points, creating an atmosphere of panic in the vicinity. The rising water levels have also disrupted several roads in the area, affecting the movement of people. Administrative and police teams are monitoring the situation closely. The administration has appealed to the public to avoid going near the river and local streams and to refrain from taking any risks. Continuous monitoring of the river's water level is being maintained amidst the heavy rainfall.
