बरेली में वकीलों के चैंबर पर चला बुलडोजर, रात में नगर निगम ने की कार्रवाई

बरेली: उत्तर प्रदेश के बरेली में नगर निगम ने बृहस्पतिवार रात कचहरी के पास अतिक्रमण के खिलाफ बड़ी कार्रवाई की। रात करीब साढ़े दस बजे निगम की टीम दो बुलडोजर के साथ मौके पर पहुंची और सड़क किनारे बनाए गए वकीलों के अस्थायी चैंबर समेत अन्य अतिक्रमण को ध्वस्त कर दिया। कार्रवाई के दौरान भारी पुलिस बल तैनात रहा। नगर निगम के अधिकारियों के मुताबिक, कचहरी के आसपास लंबे समय से अतिक्रमण की शिकायतें मिल रही थीं। सड़क किनारे बने चैंबरों के कारण यहां दिनभर जाम की स्थिति बनी रहती थी। सुरक्षा व्यवस्था के बीच करीब डेढ़ घंटे तक कार्रवाई चली। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि अतिक्रमण हटाने का उद्देश्य यातायात व्यवस्था को बेहतर करना और लोगों के आवागमन को सुगम बनाना था। कार्रवाई को लेकर कुछ वकीलों में नाराजगी भी देखने को मिली। बार काउंसिल ऑफ उत्तर प्रदेश के पूर्व अध्यक्ष शिरीष कुमार मेहरोत्रा ने कहा कि वैकल्पिक व्यवस्था होने तक ध्वस्तीकरण रोका जा सकता था। वहीं, सहायक नगर आयुक्त मयंक ने स्पष्ट किया कि सड़क किनारे किए गए अतिक्रमण को हटाया गया है। इसी दिन नगर निगम ने प्रेम नगर क्षेत्र की कीर्ति नगर कॉलोनी के गेट नंबर चार पर भी बुलडोजर चलाया। निगम के अनुसार, गेट सरकारी जमीन पर अतिक्रमण कर बनाया गया था। कॉलोनी के लोगों ने कार्रवाई पर नाराजगी जताते हुए आरोप लगाया कि उन्हें पहले सूचना नहीं दी गई। हालांकि, नगर आयुक्त संजीव कुमार मौर्य ने कहा कि गेट हटाने के लिए पहले ही चेतावनी दी गई थी और चेतावनी के बावजूद इसे नहीं हटाने पर कार्रवाई की गई।

Bareilly: The Municipal Corporation in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, carried out a major anti-encroachment drive near the district courts on Thursday night. Around 10:30 PM, a municipal team arrived at the site with two bulldozers and demolished encroachments, including temporary chambers built by lawyers along the roadside. A heavy police force was deployed during the operation. According to municipal officials, complaints regarding encroachments around the court complex had been received for a long time; the roadside chambers were causing persistent traffic congestion throughout the day. The operation, conducted amidst tight security, lasted for about an hour and a half. Officials stated that the objective was to improve traffic flow and facilitate the movement of people. Some lawyers expressed resentment over the action. Shirish Kumar Mehrotra, former Chairman of the Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh, remarked that the demolition could have been deferred until alternative arrangements were made. Meanwhile, Assistant Municipal Commissioner Mayank clarified that only the roadside encroachments had been removed. On the same day, the Municipal Corporation also used bulldozers at Gate No. 4 of Kirti Nagar Colony in the Prem Nagar area. According to the corporation, the gate had been constructed by encroaching upon government land. Residents of the colony expressed their displeasure, alleging that they had not been given prior notice. However, Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Maurya stated that a warning to remove the gate had already been issued, and the action was taken because it had not been removed despite that warning.
