भारतीय जनता पार्टी मंडल शिलाई द्वारा शनिवार को शिलाई में प्रदेश सरकार के खिलाफ जोरदार धरना -प्रदर्शन किया गया। प्रदर्शन के दौरान भाजपा नेताओं और कार्यकर्ताओं ने प्रदेश सरकार पर शिलाई विधानसभा क्षेत्र के महत्वपूर्ण सरकारी संस्थानों को बंद करने का आरोप लगाते हुए उन्हें शीघ्र बहाल करने की मांग उठाई।भाजपा नेताओं ने कहा कि प्रदेश में कांग्रेस सरकार के सत्ता में आने के बाद शिलाई विधानसभा क्षेत्र में 30 से अधिक सरकारी संस्थानों को बंद किया गया है, जिससे क्षेत्र की आम जनता को भारी परेशानियों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि पूर्व भाजपा सरकार के कार्यकाल के दौरान तत्कालीन मुख्यमंत्री जय राम ठाकुर ने शिलाई विधानसभा क्षेत्र में सात बार कार्यक्रम आयोजित कर विभिन्न संस्थानों को जनता को समर्पित किया था।
भाजपा मंडल शिलाई ने वर्तमान में विशेष रूप से तीन प्रमुख संस्थानों की बहाली की मांग उठाई। इनमें विद्युत मंडल शिलाई, डीएसपी कार्यालय शिलाई तथा अटल आदर्श विद्यालय शिलाई शामिल हैं। भाजपा नेताओं का कहना है कि इन संस्थानों के बंद होने से क्षेत्रवासियों को अपने जरूरी कार्यों के लिए दूर-दराज के क्षेत्रों का रुख करना पड़ रहा है।प्रदर्शन के दौरान भाजपा नेताओं ने प्रदेश सरकार को चेतावनी देते हुए कहा कि यदि समय रहते बंद किए गए संस्थानों, विशेषकर इन तीनों प्रमुख संस्थानों को बहाल नहीं किया गया तो भाजपा मंडल शिलाई आने वाले समय में आंदोलन को और तेज करने के लिए मजबूर होगा। धरना-प्रदर्शन में भाजपा नेता एवं पूर्व विधायक बलदेव सिंह तोमर, मंडल अध्यक्ष इंदर ठाकुर सहित प्रदेश, जिला एवं मंडल स्तर के पदाधिकारी, कार्यकर्ता और स्थानीय लोग मौजूद रहे।भाजपा नेताओं ने कहा कि शिलाई की जनता के हितों और क्षेत्र में आवश्यक सरकारी सुविधाओं की बहाली के लिए पार्टी हर स्तर पर संघर्ष जारी रखेगी।
BJP Stages Strong Protest Against Government in Shillai; Demands Restoration of Closed Institutions

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Shillai Mandal staged a vigorous protest and sit-in against the state government in Shillai on Saturday. During the demonstration, BJP leaders and workers accused the state government of shutting down key government institutions in the Shillai Assembly constituency and demanded their immediate restoration. BJP leaders stated that since the Congress government came to power in the state, more than 30 government institutions in the Shillai constituency have been closed, causing immense hardship to the local public. They noted that during the tenure of the previous BJP government, the then Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur had visited the Shillai constituency seven times to dedicate various institutions to the people.
The BJP Shillai Mandal specifically demanded the restoration of three major institutions: the Electricity Division (Shillai), the DSP Office (Shillai), and the Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya (Shillai). BJP leaders argued that the closure of these institutions forces local residents to travel to far-flung areas for essential tasks. During the protest, BJP leaders warned the state government that if the closed institutions—particularly these three key ones—were not restored in a timely manner, the BJP Shillai Mandal would be compelled to intensify its agitation. The protest was attended by BJP leader and former MLA Baldev Singh Tomar, Mandal President Inder Thakur, along with office-bearers and workers from the state, district, and Mandal levels, as well as local residents. BJP leaders affirmed that the party would continue to fight at every level to safeguard the interests of the people of Shillai and ensure the restoration of essential government facilities in the area.
