भारत विकास परिषद शाखा पांवटा साहिब की ओर से हरियाली तीज उत्सव धूमधाम और हर्षोल्लास के साथ मनाया गया। कार्यक्रम में महिलाओं ने पारंपरिक वेशभूषा में भाग लेकर तीज के रंग में रंगा माहौल बना दिया। इस अवसर पर हरियाली तीज के धार्मिक एवं सांस्कृतिक महत्व पर प्रकाश डालते हुए बताया गया कि सावन माह में मनाया जाने वाला यह पर्व प्रकृति, प्रेम और समर्पण का प्रतीक है। मान्यता के अनुसार हरियाली तीज भगवान शिव और माता पार्वती के पुनर्मिलन तथा अटूट प्रेम का प्रतीक है। महिलाओं ने हाथों में मेहंदी लगाई, हरे रंग की चूड़ियां एवं वस्त्र धारण किए और सुखी वैवाहिक जीवन की कामना की। महिलाओं ने शिव-पार्वती की पूजा-अर्चना कर पति की दीर्घायु की कामना की। कार्यक्रम में झूले, लोकगीत और पारंपरिक तीज की खुशियों ने सभी का मन मोह लिया। इस दौरान तीज की पारंपरिक मिठाई घेवर सहित सुहाग का सामान भी मायके पक्ष से भेजने की परंपरा का उल्लेख किया गया।

The Paonta Sahib branch of Bharat Vikas Parishad celebrated the Hariyali Teej festival with great enthusiasm and gaiety. Women participated in traditional attire, creating an atmosphere steeped in the festive spirit of Teej. Highlighting the religious and cultural significance of the occasion, it was noted that this festival—celebrated during the month of Sawan—symbolizes nature, love, and devotion. According to tradition, Hariyali Teej represents the reunion and enduring love of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Women adorned their hands with henna, wore green bangles and traditional outfits, and prayed for a happy married life. They worshipped Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, seeking blessings for their husbands' longevity. The festivities—featuring swings, folk songs, and the traditional joy of Teej—captivated everyone present. The tradition of the maternal family sending *Ghevar* (a traditional Teej sweet) and items symbolizing marital bliss (*suhag*) was also highlighted during the event.
