जिला सिरमौर के पांवटा साहिब के कुंजा स्थित एक निजी दवा कंपनी से हटाई गई दो महिला कर्मचारियों को न्याय दिलाने की मांग को लेकर मजदूर नेता एवं सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता प्रदीप चौहान ठूंडू द्वारा एसडीएम कार्यालय परिसर के बाहर शुरू किया गया 24 घंटे का शांतिपूर्ण धरना-अनशन सकारात्मक परिणाम के साथ समाप्त हो गया। अनशन में नौकरी से हटाई गई दोनों महिला कर्मचारी भी शामिल रहीं। प्रदीप चौहान ने बताया कि ममता देवी, जिन्होंने लगभग 15 वर्षों तक कंपनी में सेवाएं दीं, तथा पार्वती देवी, जिन्होंने करीब 5 वर्षों तक कार्य किया, को कंपनी ने बिना निष्पक्ष जांच और उचित प्रक्रिया अपनाए नौकरी से हटा दिया था। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि दोनों कर्मचारियों को अपना पक्ष रखने का अवसर दिए बिना सेवा से हटाना प्राकृतिक न्याय के सिद्धांतों के विपरीत है। इस मामले में उन्होंने प्रशासन से हस्तक्षेप कर दोनों महिलाओं को न्याय दिलाने और उनकी नौकरी बहाल कराने की मांग उठाई थी। धरना-अनशन के बाद प्रशासन की पहल पर संबंधित पक्षों के साथ सकारात्मक संवाद स्थापित किया गया, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप मामले का समाधान निकल सका। प्रदीप चौहान ठूंडू ने बताया कि कंपनी प्रबंधन ने प्रभावित महिलाओं को पूरा मुआवजा देने का आश्वासन दिया है। उन्होंने इसे न्याय, संवेदनशील प्रशासन और सभी पक्षों के सामूहिक प्रयासों का सकारात्मक परिणाम बताया। प्रदीप चौहान ने एसडीएम पांवटा साहिब सहित इस पूरे मामले में सहयोग करने वाले प्रशासन, सामाजिक संगठनों, साथियों और प्रभावित महिलाओं का आभार व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने कहा कि भविष्य में भी श्रमिकों के अधिकारों की रक्षा और कर्मचारियों को सम्मानजनक एवं न्यायपूर्ण कार्य वातावरण उपलब्ध कराने के लिए सभी पक्षों को मिलकर कार्य करना चाहिए। उन्होंने प्रदेश की सभी औद्योगिक इकाइयों से स्थानीय युवाओं को रोजगार में प्राथमिकता देने की अपील करते हुए कहा कि वे बाहरी राज्यों के लोगों के रोजगार के विरोधी नहीं हैं, बल्कि योग्यता, अनुभव और कार्य क्षमता के आधार पर हिमाचली युवाओं को अधिक अवसर मिलना चाहिए, ताकि उन्हें अपने ही प्रदेश में सम्मानजनक रोजगार प्राप्त हो

A peaceful 24-hour sit-in and hunger strike—initiated outside the SDM office complex by labor leader and social activist Pradeep Chauhan 'Thundu' to seek justice for two female employees dismissed from a private pharmaceutical company in Kunja, Paonta Sahib (Sirmaur district)—has concluded with a positive outcome. The two dismissed female employees also participated in the hunger strike. Pradeep Chauhan stated that Mamta Devi (who served the company for nearly 15 years) and Parvati Devi (who worked for about 5 years) had been dismissed without a fair inquiry or adherence to due process. He alleged that removing the employees from service without giving them an opportunity to present their side violated the principles of natural justice. He had urged the administration to intervene, secure justice for the women, and ensure their reinstatement. Following the protest, a positive dialogue was established with the concerned parties through the administration's initiative, leading to a resolution. Pradeep Chauhan 'Thundu' stated that the company management has assured full compensation to the affected women. He described this as a positive result of justice, a responsive administration, and the collective efforts of all stakeholders. Pradeep Chauhan expressed his gratitude to the administration—including the SDM of Paonta Sahib—as well as social organizations, colleagues, and the affected women for their support in this matter. He emphasized that all parties must continue to work together in the future to protect workers' rights and ensure a respectful, fair work environment. Appealing to all industrial units in the state to prioritize local youth for employment, he clarified that he was not opposed to employment for people from other states; rather, he advocated for Himachali youth to receive greater opportunities based on merit, experience, and capability, enabling them to secure dignified employment within their own state.
