पांवटा साहिब विधानसभा क्षेत्र की बदहाल सड़कों को लेकर भाजपा ने कांग्रेस सरकार के खिलाफ मोर्चा खोल दिया है। शुक्रवार को आयोजित पत्रकार वार्ता में विधायक सुखराम चौधरी ने प्रदेश सरकार को अल्टीमेटम देते हुए चेतावनी दी कि यदि 7 अगस्त तक सड़कों की मरम्मत और सुधार कार्य शुरू नहीं हुआ, तो भाजपा कार्यकर्ता सड़कों पर उतरकर सरकार के खिलाफ आंदोलन करेंगे। सुखराम चौधरी ने आरोप लगाया कि प्रदेश सरकार ने पांवटा साहिब विधानसभा क्षेत्र की पूरी तरह अनदेखी की है। उन्होंने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू से इस मुद्दे पर दो बार बातचीत हुई और दोनों बार आश्वासन मिला, लेकिन इसके बावजूद जमीनी स्तर पर कोई कार्रवाई नहीं हुई। उन्होंने कहा कि क्षेत्र की सड़कें लोगों के लिए परेशानी का सबब बनी हुई हैं, लेकिन सरकार गंभीरता नहीं दिखा रही। भाजपा विधायक ने दावा किया कि पांवटा साहिब में जो भी विकास कार्य दिखाई दे रहे हैं, वे केंद्र सरकार की योजनाओं और केंद्र से प्राप्त धनराशि के माध्यम से हो रहे हैं। उनका आरोप था कि प्रदेश की कांग्रेस सरकार विकास कार्यों में पूरी तरह विफल साबित हुई है और जनता की मूलभूत समस्याओं के समाधान में भी असफल रही है। उन्होंने स्पष्ट कहा कि यदि तय समय सीमा तक सड़कों की स्थिति सुधारने की दिशा में प्रभावी कदम नहीं उठाए गए, तो भाजपा व्यापक जनआंदोलन छेड़ेगी और सरकार के खिलाफ सड़कों पर उतरकर विरोध प्रदर्शन करेगी।

The BJP has launched an offensive against the Congress government regarding the dilapidated condition of roads in the Paonta Sahib assembly constituency. Addressing a press conference on Friday, MLA Sukhram Chaudhary issued an ultimatum to the state government, warning that if repair and improvement work on the roads does not commence by August 7, BJP workers will take to the streets to protest against the government. Sukhram Chaudhary alleged that the state government has completely neglected the Paonta Sahib assembly constituency. He stated that he had discussed this issue with Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu twice and received assurances on both occasions, yet no action has been taken on the ground. He remarked that the area's roads have become a source of trouble for the public, but the government is failing to show seriousness. The BJP MLA claimed that whatever development work is visible in Paonta Sahib is being carried out through central government schemes and funds received from the Centre. He alleged that the state's Congress government has proven to be a complete failure in terms of development and has also failed to resolve the basic problems faced by the public. He clearly stated that if effective steps are not taken to improve the condition of the roads within the stipulated timeframe, the BJP will launch a massive public agitation and take to the streets to protest against the government.
