सिरमौर जिले के हरिपुरधार इलाके में शादी तय होने के तुरंत बाद एक युवती और उसकी मां द्वारा लाखों रुपये के गहने लेकर चंपत होने का सनसनीखेज मामला सामने आया है। इस घटना से पीड़ित परिवार स्तब्ध है और उन्होंने पुलिस में शिकायत दर्ज कराकर धोखाधड़ी का मामला कायम करने और अपने कीमती आभूषणों की जल्द बरामदगी की मांग उठाई है। शिकायत दर्ज होने के बाद स्थानीय पुलिस हरकत में आ गई है और पूरे मामले की गंभीरता से तहकीकात कर रही है। प्राप्त जानकारी के मुताबिक, दिल्ली निवासी विपिन वालिया ने पुलिस को दी अपनी शिकायत में बताया कि बीते 17 अगस्त को उनके भाई विशाल वालिया के विवाह के सिलसिले में एक व्यक्ति ने उनसे संपर्क किया था। इसके बाद अरविंद नामक बिचौलिए के माध्यम से 21 अगस्त को उन्हें लड़की देखने और रिश्ता पक्का करने के उद्देश्य से सिरमौर के हरिपुरधार बुलाया गया। तय समय के अनुसार पीड़ित परिवार हरिपुरधार पहुंचा, जहां एक गेस्ट हाउस में युवती से मुलाकात के बाद दोनों पक्षों की सहमति से रिश्ता तय कर दिया गया।
रिश्ता पक्का होने के बाद परंपरा और शगुन के तौर पर शिकायतकर्ता की माता ने होने वाली बहू को लगभग 2.20 लाख रुपये मूल्य के आभूषण भेंट किए। इन आभूषणों में एक सोने का पेंडेंट, सोने की अंगूठी और हीरे की ईयर-रिंग्स शामिल थीं। इसके अलावा, रिश्ता कराने के एवज में बिचौलिए को भी 31 हजार रुपये की नकद राशि दी गई। शादी की तारीख अगले ही दिन यानी 22 अगस्त तय की गई थी, जिसके चलते युवती, उसकी मां और बिचौलिया पीड़ित परिवार के साथ दिल्ली जाने के लिए राजी हो गए। हालांकि, दिल्ली के सफर के दौरान ही युवती और उसकी मां ने एक सोची-समझी योजना के तहत नाहन मेडिकल कॉलेज में कार्यरत अपने भाई (युवती के चाचा) से मिलने की इच्छा जताई। अस्पताल पहुंचने के बाद दोनों मां-बेटी परिजनों को चकमा देकर गहनों समेत वहां से रफूचक्कर हो गईं। काफी देर इंतजार करने के बाद जब वे वापस नहीं लौटीं, तब पीड़ित परिवार को अपने साथ हुई धोखाधड़ी का अहसास हुआ। मामले की पुष्टि करते हुए सिरमौर के पुलिस अधीक्षक एनएस नेगी ने बताया कि पुलिस को इस संबंध में शिकायत प्राप्त हुई है। पुलिस टीम अब इस पूरे प्रकरण में युवती, उसकी मां और बिचौलिए की भूमिका की गहनता से पड़ताल कर रही है। इसके साथ ही कथित तौर पर दिए गए कीमती गहनों का सुराग लगाने और पूरे घटनाक्रम की कड़ी से कड़ी जोड़ने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है। पुलिस अधिकारियों का कहना है कि जांच में जो भी तथ्य सामने आएंगे, उसी आधार पर आगे की कड़ी कानूनी कार्रवाई अमल में लाई जाएगी।

A sensational case has emerged from the Haripurdhar area of Sirmour district, where a young woman and her mother fled with jewelry worth lakhs of rupees immediately after a marriage alliance was finalized. The aggrieved family is in shock; they have lodged a police complaint demanding a fraud case be registered and their precious jewelry recovered promptly. Following the complaint, the local police have swung into action and are investigating the matter seriously. According to the information received, Vipin Walia, a resident of Delhi, stated in his complaint that on August 17, an individual contacted him regarding the marriage of his brother, Vishal Walia. Subsequently, through a middleman named Arvind, they were invited to Haripurdhar, Sirmour, on August 21 to meet the prospective bride and finalize the alliance. The family arrived in Haripurdhar as scheduled; after meeting the young woman at a guest house, the alliance was agreed upon by both parties.
Once the match was finalized, the complainant's mother gifted jewelry worth approximately ₹2.20 lakh to the prospective daughter-in-law as a traditional token of goodwill (*shagun*). These items included a gold pendant, a gold ring, and diamond earrings. Additionally, a cash sum of ₹31,000 was given to the middleman for facilitating the match. The wedding date was set for the very next day, August 22, and the young woman, her mother, and the middleman agreed to accompany the family to Delhi. However, during the journey to Delhi, the young woman and her mother—acting on a premeditated plan—expressed a desire to visit a relative (the young woman's uncle) who worked at Nahan Medical College. After arriving at the hospital, the mother and daughter managed to give their relatives the slip and fled with the jewelry. When they failed to return after a long wait, the aggrieved family realized they had been deceived. Confirming the matter, Sirmaur Superintendent of Police NS Negi stated that the police have received a complaint regarding the incident. A police team is now thoroughly investigating the roles of the young woman, her mother, and the middleman in the entire affair. Simultaneously, efforts are underway to trace the allegedly handed-over valuable jewelry and piece together the sequence of events. Police officials stated that further strict legal action will be taken based on the facts that emerge during the investigation.
