हिमाचल प्रदेश के चंबा जिले में लगातार हो रही भारी बारिश ने सोमवार रात व्यापक तबाही मचाई। परेल क्षेत्र के घोलटी में अचानक आई फ्लैश फ्लड और भूस्खलन के कारण करीब 12 वाहन मलबे की चपेट में आ गए। कई कारें और ट्रक क्षतिग्रस्त हो गए, जबकि चंबा-पठानकोट राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग पर भारी मलबा आने से यातायात पूरी तरह बाधित हो गया। प्रशासन ने प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में राहत एवं बचाव कार्य शुरू कर दिया है। बारिश का सबसे अधिक असर सुल्तानपुर क्षेत्र में देखने को मिला, जहां आधी रात को आई फ्लैश फ्लड का पानी कई घरों और दुकानों में घुस गया। स्थानीय लोगों ने पूरी रात जागकर सुरक्षित स्थानों पर शरण ली। हालांकि किसी जनहानि की सूचना नहीं है, लेकिन कई परिवारों को भारी आर्थिक नुकसान हुआ है। प्रशासन प्रभावित लोगों को हरसंभव सहायता उपलब्ध कराने में जुटा है। राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग बंद होने से चंबा और पठानकोट के बीच यातायात प्रभावित हुआ है। लोक निर्माण विभाग (PWD) और संबंधित एजेंसियों की टीमें मलबा हटाने और सड़क बहाल करने के लिए लगातार काम कर रही हैं। प्रशासन ने लोगों से अनावश्यक यात्रा से बचने और भूस्खलन संभावित क्षेत्रों से दूर रहने की अपील की है। मौसम विभाग ने आगामी दिनों में हिमाचल प्रदेश के कई हिस्सों में भारी से बहुत भारी बारिश की चेतावनी जारी की है। प्रशासन ने संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों में सतर्कता बढ़ा दी है और लोगों से मौसम संबंधी सलाह का पालन करने का आग्रह किया है। लगातार बारिश के चलते प्रदेश में बाढ़ और भूस्खलन का खतरा अभी भी बना हुआ है।

Around 12 vehicles were caught in debris caused by a sudden flash flood and landslides at Gholti in the Parel area. Several cars and trucks were damaged, while traffic on the Chamba-Pathankot National Highway came to a complete halt due to a massive accumulation of debris. The administration has initiated relief and rescue operations in the affected areas. The impact of the rain was most severe in the Sultanpur area, where flash floodwaters entered numerous homes and shops around midnight. Local residents spent the night awake, seeking shelter in safer locations. Although no loss of life has been reported, many families have suffered significant financial losses. The administration is working to provide all possible assistance to those affected. Traffic between Chamba and Pathankot has been disrupted due to the closure of the National Highway. Teams from the Public Works Department (PWD) and relevant agencies are working continuously to clear the debris and restore the road. The administration has appealed to the public to avoid unnecessary travel and stay away from landslide-prone areas. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall in several parts of Himachal Pradesh over the coming days. Authorities have heightened vigilance in vulnerable areas and urged people to adhere to weather-related advisories. The risk of floods and landslides persists across the state due to the ongoing rainfall.
