जिला सिरमौर के पांवटा साहिब के वार्ड नंबर-8 में हुए चर्चित आगजनी मामले में पुलिस ने जांच को आगे बढ़ाते हुए एक और आरोपी को गिरफ्तार किया है। गिरफ्तार आरोपी की पहचान अक्षित गर्ग पुत्र भूपेंद्र गर्ग (मोनू) के रूप में हुई है। गौरतलब है कि बीते दिनों एसडीएम कार्यालय और मुख्य बाजार के समीप स्थित वार्ड नंबर-8 में देर रात कुछ लोगों ने एक घर को निशाना बनाने की नीयत से आंगन में खड़ी पजेरो कार में आग लगा दी थी। घटना के बाद क्षेत्र में सनसनी फैल गई थी और पीड़ित पक्ष की शिकायत पर पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर जांच शुरू की थी। पुलिस जांच के दौरान जुटाए गए साक्ष्यों के आधार पर अक्षित गर्ग को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। मामले में अन्य संदिग्धों की भूमिका की भी गहनता से जांच की जा रही है। पुलिस का कहना है कि जांच पूरी होने के बाद मामले में आवश्यक कानूनी कार्रवाई अमल में लाई जाएगी।

Advancing the investigation into the high-profile arson case in Ward No. 8 of Paonta Sahib, Sirmaur district, the police have arrested another accused. The arrested individual has been identified as Akshit Garg, son of Bhupendra Garg (Monu). It is noteworthy that recently, late at night, some individuals targeted a house in Ward No. 8—located near the SDM office and the main market—by setting fire to a Pajero car parked in the courtyard. The incident caused a stir in the area, and the police registered a case and initiated an investigation following a complaint from the aggrieved party. Akshit Garg was arrested based on evidence gathered during the police investigation. The roles of other suspects in the case are also being thoroughly investigated. The police stated that necessary legal action will be taken once the investigation is complete.
