केतन हत्याकांड: जनदबाव के बीच नाबालिग से दुष्कर्म का आरोपित दिवाकर डिमरी गिरफ्तार

टिहरी गढ़वाल के चर्चित केतन लाल हत्याकांड से जुड़े मामले में लंबगांव पुलिस ने नाबालिग से दुष्कर्म के आरोपित दिवाकर डिमरी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। आरोपी पर पोक्सो एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज था और उसकी गिरफ्तारी को लेकर लगातार जनदबाव बढ़ रहा था। पुलिस ने आरोपी को न्यायालय में पेश करने के बाद न्यायिक अभिरक्षा में भेज दिया है। पीड़िता की मां ने आरोप लगाया था कि 11 जुलाई को न्यायालय के आदेश पर पोक्सो एक्ट के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज होने और पीड़िता के धारा-164 के बयान दर्ज होने के बावजूद पुलिस मुख्य आरोपी की गिरफ्तारी में देरी कर रही थी। इसे लेकर स्थानीय ग्रामीणों ने भी पुलिस की कार्यशैली पर सवाल उठाते हुए त्वरित कार्रवाई की मांग की थी। उनका कहना था कि आरोपी की गिरफ्तारी न होने से पीड़िता मानसिक तनाव से गुजर रही है। बढ़ते विरोध के बीच पीड़िता की मां और क्षेत्रीय लोगों ने जिलाधिकारी नितिका खंडेलवाल को ज्ञापन सौंपकर 24 घंटे के भीतर गिरफ्तारी की मांग की थी। साथ ही चेतावनी दी गई थी कि यदि कार्रवाई नहीं हुई तो जिला मुख्यालय में अनिश्चितकालीन धरना-प्रदर्शन और अनशन शुरू किया जाएगा। इसके बाद पुलिस ने आरोपी दिवाकर डिमरी, निवासी ग्राम देवल, थाना लंबगांव, को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। एसएसपी श्वेता चौबे ने बताया कि आरोपी को नियमानुसार न्यायालय में पेश कर न्यायिक अभिरक्षा में भेज दिया गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि मामले की निष्पक्ष और गहन जांच जारी है तथा जांच के दौरान सामने आने वाले तथ्यों के आधार पर आगे की कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी। पुलिस ने भरोसा दिलाया है कि मामले में कानून के अनुसार सख्त कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित की जाएगी।
Ketan Murder Case: Diwakar Dimri, Accused of Raping a Minor, Arrested Amidst Public Pressure

Lambgaon police have arrested Diwakar Dimri, the accused in the rape of a minor, in connection with the high-profile Ketan Lal murder case in Tehri Garhwal. A case had been registered against the accused under the POCSO Act, and public pressure for his arrest had been mounting steadily. The police have sent the accused to judicial custody after producing him before the court. The victim's mother had alleged that despite a case being registered under the POCSO Act on July 11 following a court order—and the recording of the victim's statement under Section 164—the police were delaying the arrest of the prime accused. Local villagers had also questioned the police's handling of the matter and demanded immediate action, stating that the victim was suffering from mental stress due to the accused remaining at large. Amidst the growing protest, the victim's mother and local residents submitted a memorandum to District Magistrate Nitika Khandelwal, demanding the arrest within 24 hours. They had also warned that if no action was taken, they would launch an indefinite sit-in protest and hunger strike at the district headquarters. Subsequently, the police arrested the accused, Diwakar Dimri, a resident of Deval village (under Lambgaon police station). SSP Shweta Chaubey stated that the accused was produced before the court in accordance with procedure and sent to judicial custody. She added that a fair and thorough investigation is underway, and further legal action will be taken based on the facts that emerge during the probe. The police have assured that strict action, in accordance with the law, will be ensured in the case.
