पांवटा साहिब के बांगरण चौक के समीप शनिवार देर रात तेज रफ्तार मोटरसाइकिल की टिप्पर से टक्कर हो गई। हादसे में दुगाना निवासी 25 वर्षीय ऋतिक पुंडीर की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई, जबकि मोटरसाइकिल पर पीछे बैठा कमरऊ निवासी युवक गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गया। जानकारी के अनुसार मोटरसाइकिल चालक बांगरण चौक से कुछ पीछे एक वाहन को ओवरटेक कर रहा था। इसी दौरान तेज रफ्तार होने के कारण मोटरसाइकिल अनियंत्रित होकर बांगरण की ओर से आ रहे टिप्पर, जो चौक काट रहा था, के पिछले टायर के पास जा टकराई। टक्कर इतनी जोरदार थी कि मोटरसाइकिल सवार दोनों युवक सड़क पर जा गिरे। मौके पर मौजूद लोगों ने तुरंत 108 एंबुलेंस को सूचना दी। एंबुलेंस के पहुंचने के बाद दोनों घायलों को अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया, जहां चिकित्सकों ने ऋतिक पुंडीर को मृत घोषित कर दिया। वहीं गंभीर रूप से घायल दूसरे युवक को प्राथमिक उपचार के बाद देहरादून अस्पताल रेफर किया गया है। हादसे की सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस टीम मौके पर पहुंची और घटनास्थल का जायजा लेकर जांच शुरू कर दी। पुलिस हादसे के कारणों और पूरे घटनाक्रम की जांच कर रही है।

Late Saturday night, a speeding motorcycle collided with a tipper truck near Bangran Chowk in Paonta Sahib. The accident claimed the life of 25-year-old Hritik Pundir, a resident of Dugana, who died on the spot, while the pillion rider—a youth from Kamrau—sustained serious injuries. According to reports, the motorcyclist was attempting to overtake a vehicle shortly before reaching Bangran Chowk. Due to high speed, the motorcycle went out of control and crashed into the rear tire of a tipper truck that was crossing the intersection from the direction of Bangran. The impact was so severe that both youths were thrown onto the road. Bystanders immediately alerted the 108 ambulance service. Upon the ambulance's arrival, both injured individuals were taken to the hospital, where doctors declared Hritik Pundir dead. The other youth, who was critically injured, was referred to a hospital in Dehradun after receiving first aid. A police team arrived at the scene immediately after receiving news of the accident, inspected the site, and initiated an investigation. The police are currently investigating the cause of the accident and the sequence of events.
