पांवटा साहिब के व्यस्ततम विश्वकर्मा चौक पर तड़के करीब ढाई से तीन बजे के बीच एक व्यक्ति की गला रेतकर हत्या किए जाने की सूचना से पूरे क्षेत्र में सनसनी फैल गई। वारदात के बाद इलाके में दहशत का माहौल है। हालांकि, मामले की आधिकारिक पुष्टि पुलिस जांच के बाद ही हो पाएगी। मृतक की पहचान भाव सिंह पुत्र सही राम, निवासी गांव आवत, डाकघर कोटी उतरू, तहसील शिलाई, जिला सिरमौर के रूप में बताई जा रही है। जानकारी के अनुसार भाव सिंह शिलाई में सब्जी की दुकान चलाते थे और किसी काम से पांवटा साहिब आए हुए थे। बताया जा रहा है कि तड़के करीब 2:30 से 3 बजे के बीच भाव सिंह एमसी पार्किंग की तरफ से विश्वकर्मा चौक की ओर आए। इसी दौरान कुछ अज्ञात हमलावरों ने उन पर धारदार हथियार से हमला कर दिया। हमले में उनका गला रेत दिया गया, जिसके बाद आरोपी मौके से फरार हो गए। खून से लथपथ हालत में पड़े भाव सिंह को देखकर स्थानीय लोगों ने पुलिस को सूचना दी। सूचना मिलते ही पांवटा साहिब थाना पुलिस की टीम मौके पर पहुंची और जांच शुरू कर दी। बताया जा रहा है कि विश्वकर्मा चौक पर लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरे भी चालू हालत में नहीं हैं, जिससे पुलिस की जांच और चुनौतीपूर्ण हो सकती है। फिलहाल हत्या के पीछे की वजह और हमलावरों की पहचान स्पष्ट नहीं हो पाई है। पुलिस सभी संभावित पहलुओं को ध्यान में रखते हुए मामले की जांच कर रही है।

A wave of shock swept through the area following reports that a man had been murdered by having his throat slit at Paonta Sahib's bustling Vishwakarma Chowk between 2:30 AM and 3:00 AM. An atmosphere of panic prevails in the locality following the incident. However, official confirmation of the matter will only be possible after a police investigation. The deceased has been identified as Bhav Singh, son of Sahi Ram, a resident of Village Aavat (Post Office Koti Utru, Tehsil Shillai, District Sirmaur). According to reports, Bhav Singh ran a vegetable shop in Shillai and had come to Paonta Sahib for some work. It is reported that between 2:30 AM and 3:00 AM, Bhav Singh was walking from the MC parking area towards Vishwakarma Chowk when unidentified assailants attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon. His throat was slit during the attack, and the perpetrators subsequently fled the scene. Locals alerted the police after spotting Bhav Singh lying in a pool of blood. Upon receiving the information, a team from the Paonta Sahib police station arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. Reports suggest that the CCTV cameras installed at Vishwakarma Chowk are not functional, which could make the police investigation more challenging. At present, the motive behind the murder and the identities of the attackers remain unclear. The police are investigating the case while considering all possible angles.
