ऊना जनहित मोर्चा ने संभाली सफाई की कमान, डिवाइडर और रेलिंग के पास हटाईं झाड़ियां

शहर में सड़कों के डिवाइडर और रेलिंग के आसपास फैली गंदगी व घनी झाड़ियों की सफाई के लिए ऊना जनहित मोर्चा ने पहल की है। नगर निगम और एनएचएआई की ओर से समस्या पर अपेक्षित कार्रवाई न होने का आरोप लगाते हुए मोर्चा के सदस्यों ने अपने खर्च पर सफाई अभियान शुरू किया। सोमवार को चंडीगढ़-धर्मशाला नेशनल हाईवे पर श्रमिकों की मदद से सड़क के बीच उगी झाड़ियों और घास को हटाया गया। मोर्चा के अध्यक्ष राजीव भनोट ने कहा कि शहर के बीच करीब डेढ़ किलोमीटर लंबी रेलिंग के आसपास लंबे समय से घास और झाड़ियां उगी थीं। इससे सड़क की सुंदरता प्रभावित होने के साथ वाहन चालकों की दृश्यता भी कम हो रही थी। उन्होंने कहा कि झाड़ियों के कारण हादसे का खतरा बना रहता है और शहर में प्रवेश करने वाले लोगों के सामने भी ऊना की सफाई व्यवस्था की खराब तस्वीर सामने आती है। मोर्चा की बैठक में सदस्यों ने निर्णय लिया कि संबंधित विभागों की कार्रवाई का इंतजार करने के बजाय स्वयं सफाई अभियान चलाया जाएगा। इसके तहत हरि ओम गुप्ता, बलविंदर गोल्डी, राजपाल पठानिया, शिव कुमार सहित अन्य सदस्यों ने अभियान में सहयोग किया। मोर्चा ने कहा कि ऐसे स्थानों की नियमित सफाई जरूरी है। ठेकेदार वासुदेव उपाध्याय ने कहा कि शहर को स्वच्छ रखना प्रशासन के साथ-साथ प्रत्येक नागरिक की जिम्मेदारी है। उन्होंने बताया कि रेलिंग और डिवाइडर के आसपास की झाड़ियों को हटाने का काम जारी है। अगले एक-दो दिनों में पूरे क्षेत्र की सफाई पूरी करने का प्रयास किया जाएगा।

The Una Janhit Morcha has taken the initiative to clean up the filth and dense bushes accumulating around road dividers and railings in the city. Alleging a lack of expected action from the Municipal Corporation and the NHAI regarding this issue, members of the Morcha launched a cleanup drive at their own expense. On Monday, with the help of laborers, bushes and grass growing along the median of the Chandigarh-Dharamshala National Highway were removed. Morcha President Rajiv Bhanot stated that tall grass and bushes had been growing for a long time around the approximately 1.5-kilometer-long railing in the city. This was not only marring the city's aesthetic appeal but also obstructing visibility for motorists. He noted that the bushes posed a risk of accidents and presented a poor image of Una's sanitation standards to visitors entering the city. During a meeting, Morcha members decided to conduct the cleanup drive themselves rather than wait for the concerned departments to act. Members including Hari Om Gupta, Balvinder Goldy, Rajpal Pathania, and Shiv Kumar supported the campaign. The Morcha emphasized the necessity of regular cleaning in such areas. Contractor Vasudev Upadhyay remarked that keeping the city clean is the responsibility of every citizen, not just the administration. He stated that the work of clearing bushes around the railings and dividers is underway, and efforts are being made to complete the cleanup of the entire area within the next day or two.
