कालका-शिमला रेललाइन पर फिर बारिश की मार, टकसाल-गुम्मन के बीच डंगा क्षतिग्रस्त

हिमाचल प्रदेश में लगातार हो रही बारिश का असर ऐतिहासिक कालका-शिमला रेललाइन पर भी देखने को मिल रहा है। टकसाल और गुम्मन के बीच तेज पानी के बहाव से रेलवे का निर्माणाधीन डंगा क्षतिग्रस्त हो गया है। इससे रेललाइन को सुरक्षित बनाने के लिए चल रहे मरम्मत कार्य को झटका लगा है। बारिश के कारण पहाड़ी क्षेत्रों में पानी का बहाव बढ़ने से रेलवे ट्रैक और इसके आसपास के सुरक्षा ढांचे पर लगातार दबाव बना हुआ है। रेलवे की ओर से प्रभावित हिस्से को दुरुस्त करने और ट्रैक को सुरक्षित बनाने के लिए काम किया जा रहा है। खराब मौसम के बीच कर्मचारियों के लिए मरम्मत कार्य पूरा करना चुनौती बना हुआ है। कालका-शिमला रेललाइन पहले भी बारिश और भूस्खलन के कारण प्रभावित हो चुकी है। यात्रियों की सुरक्षा को देखते हुए रेल सेवा को बहाल करने से पहले ट्रैक और पुल-पुलियों की पूरी तरह जांच की जा रही है। हालिया रिपोर्टों के अनुसार मार्ग पर सेवा 11 सितंबर तक निलंबित रहने की जानकारी दी गई थी

The impact of incessant rainfall in Himachal Pradesh is also visible on the historic Kalka-Shimla rail line. A railway retaining wall currently under construction between Taksal and Gumman has been damaged by the strong flow of water. This has hampered the ongoing repair work aimed at securing the rail line. Increased water flow in the hilly terrain due to the rain continues to exert pressure on the railway track and its surrounding safety structures. Railway authorities are working to repair the affected section and ensure the safety of the track. Completing repair work amidst the inclement weather remains a challenge for the staff. The Kalka-Shimla rail line has previously been affected by rain and landslides. Prioritizing passenger safety, the tracks, bridges, and culverts are undergoing thorough inspections before the resumption of rail services. According to recent reports, services on the route were suspended until September 11.
