कुल्लू शहर में ब्यास नदी पर बनेगा डबल लेन पुल, फोरलेन से जुड़ेगा शहर

जिला मुख्यालय कुल्लू में ब्यास नदी पर एक और डबल लेन पुल बनाने की तैयारी शुरू हो गई है। इस पुल के बनने से कुल्लू शहर को फोरलेन से सीधे जोड़ने में मदद मिलेगी और लोगों के साथ-साथ पर्यटकों को भी आवाजाही में सुविधा मिलेगी। इसी को लेकर वर्ल्ड बैंक की टीम ने अखाड़ा बाजार और भूतनाथ के पास संभावित स्थल का निरीक्षण किया। इस दौरान कुल्लू सदर के विधायक सुंदर सिंह ठाकुर भी मौजूद रहे। विधायक सुंदर सिंह ठाकुर ने बताया कि भूतनाथ पुल में तकनीकी खामी आने के कारण फिलहाल इस पर छोटे वाहनों की आवाजाही ही हो रही है। ऐसे में शहर को फोरलेन से बेहतर तरीके से जोड़ने के लिए नए डबल लेन पुल की आवश्यकता महसूस की जा रही है। नए पुल के निर्माण से बड़े वाहन भी आसानी से फोरलेन के जरिए कुल्लू शहर तक पहुंच सकेंगे। वर्ल्ड बैंक की टीम ने निरीक्षण के दौरान पुल निर्माण की संभावनाओं पर भी चर्चा की। उन्होंने बताया कि पीरड़ी में भी पुल का निर्माण कार्य चल रहा है, जिसे 31 मार्च से पहले पूरा करने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं। इस पुल के तैयार होने से कुल्लू-मनाली आने वाले पर्यटकों को बेहतर यातायात सुविधा मिलेगी। साथ ही ब्यास नदी में राफ्टिंग जैसी पर्यटन गतिविधियों को भी बढ़ावा मिलने की उम्मीद है। नए पुलों के निर्माण से कुल्लू शहर में यातायात व्यवस्था मजबूत होने के साथ पर्यटन को भी लाभ मिलने की संभावना है।
Double-lane bridge to be built over Beas River in Kullu; city to be connected to the four-lane highway

Preparations have begun to construct another double-lane bridge over the Beas River at the district headquarters, Kullu. This bridge will facilitate a direct connection between Kullu town and the four-lane highway, easing commute for both locals and tourists. A World Bank team inspected potential sites near Akhara Bazaar and Bhutnath in this regard; Kullu Sadar MLA Sundar Singh Thakur was also present during the inspection. MLA Sundar Singh Thakur noted that due to technical issues with the existing Bhutnath bridge, only small vehicles are currently able to use it. Consequently, there is a recognized need for a new double-lane bridge to better connect the town to the four-lane highway. Once constructed, the new bridge will allow large vehicles to easily access Kullu town via the four-lane highway. During the inspection, the World Bank team also discussed the feasibility of the bridge's construction. It was mentioned that bridge construction work is also underway at Pirdi, with instructions issued to complete it before March 31. Upon completion, this bridge will provide improved transport facilities for tourists visiting Kullu and Manali. Additionally, tourism activities such as rafting on the Beas River are expected to receive a boost. The construction of these new bridges is likely to strengthen the traffic infrastructure in Kullu town and benefit the tourism sector.
