सत्य निकेतन बिल्डिंग हादसे पर हाईकोर्स ख्तMCD को हाई-लेवल जांच के आदेश, एक सप्ताह में सभी PG का होगा निरीक्षण

दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट ने सत्य निकेतन में पांच मंजिला इमारत गिरने की घटना को गंभीरता से लेते हुए MCD को उच्चतम कार्यकारी स्तर पर जांच करने के निर्देश दिए हैं। कोर्ट ने जांच में यह पता लगाने को कहा है कि इमारत जरूरी अनुमति और स्वीकृत नक्शे के अनुसार बनी थी या नहीं तथा किसी अधिकारी की लापरवाही या चूक सामने आने पर जिम्मेदारी तय की जाए। मुख्य न्यायाधीश डीके उपाध्याय और न्यायमूर्ति तेजस करिया की पीठ ने MCD को अपने अधिकार क्षेत्र में आने वाले सभी PG आवासों का एक सप्ताह के भीतर निरीक्षण करने का भी निर्देश दिया। निरीक्षण में जरूरी परमिशन, बिल्डिंग बायलॉज का पालन और प्रत्येक PG में रह रहे छात्रों की संख्या की जानकारी जुटाने को कहा गया है। कोर्ट ने कहा कि ऐसे हादसों की जिम्मेदारी केवल PG मालिक तक सीमित नहीं हो सकती, बल्कि संबंधित विश्वविद्यालय और MCD की भी जिम्मेदारी है। अदालत ने दिल्ली में हॉस्टल की कमी और PG में छात्रों की सुरक्षा को लेकर भी चिंता जताई। सत्य निकेतन में रविवार को इमारत गिरने से कम से कम सात लोगों की मौत और पांच लोगों के घायल होने की जानकारी सामने आई है। पुलिस के अनुसार हादसे के समय ग्राउंड फ्लोर पर रेनोवेशन का काम चल रहा था। मामले में संपत्ति के मालिक को गिरफ्तार कर FIR दर्ज की गई है।

Taking a serious view of the collapse of a five-story building in Satya Niketan, the Delhi High Court has directed the MCD to conduct an inquiry at the highest executive level. The Court has asked the inquiry to determine whether the building was constructed in accordance with necessary permissions and approved plans, and to fix accountability if any official's negligence or lapse comes to light. A bench comprising Chief Justice DK Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia also directed the MCD to inspect all PG accommodations within its jurisdiction within one week. The inspection is to cover aspects such as necessary permissions, compliance with building bylaws, and the number of students residing in each PG. The Court observed that responsibility for such incidents cannot be limited to the PG owner alone; the concerned university and the MCD also bear responsibility. The Court also expressed concern regarding the shortage of hostel facilities in Delhi and the safety of students in PG accommodations. Reports indicate that at least seven people died and five were injured in the building collapse in Satya Niketan on Sunday. According to the police, renovation work was underway on the ground floor at the time of the incident. An FIR has been registered, and the property owner has been arrested in connection with the case.
