1 जुलाई 2026 से पासपोर्ट बनवाना पहले की तुलना में महंगा हो जाएगा। विदेश मंत्रालय ने पासपोर्ट और उससे जुड़ी विभिन्न सेवाओं की फीस में संशोधन किया है। करीब 14 साल बाद शुल्क में यह बड़ा बदलाव किया गया है। नई दरें 1 जुलाई 2026 से पूरे देश में लागू होंगी। ऐसे में यदि आप जुलाई के बाद नया पासपोर्ट बनवाने, उसका नवीनीकरण (Renewal) कराने या री-इश्यू के लिए आवेदन करते हैं, तो आपको पहले से अधिक शुल्क देना होगा। यदि आपको कम समय में पासपोर्ट चाहिए और आप तत्काल सेवा (Tatkal Service) का विकल्प चुनते हैं, तो अब इसके लिए अधिक भुगतान करना होगा। 36 पेज का तत्काल पासपोर्ट के लिए अब ₹5,000 देने होंगे, जबकि पहले इसकी फीस ₹3,500 थी। 60 पेज का तत्काल पासपोर्ट के लिए अब ₹6,000 शुल्क लगेगा, जो पहले ₹4,000 था। इन शुल्कों में सामान्य आवेदन शुल्क भी शामिल है।
अगर आपका पासपोर्ट खो जाता है, चोरी हो जाता है या क्षतिग्रस्त हो जाता है और आपको नया पासपोर्ट (Re-issue) बनवाना पड़ता है, तो अब इसके लिए भी अधिक शुल्क देना होगा। 36 पेज के पासपोर्ट का री-इश्यू: अब ₹5,000, जबकि पहले ₹3,000 था। 60 पेज के पासपोर्ट का री-इश्यू: अब ₹6,000, जबकि पहले ₹3,500 देना पड़ता था। सामान्य पासपोर्ट की नई फीस 36 पेज का सामान्य पासपोर्ट: फीस ₹1,500 से बढ़ाकर ₹2,500 कर दी गई है 60 पेज का सामान्य पासपोर्ट: अब ₹3,500 शुल्क देना होगा, जबकि पहले इसकी फीस ₹2,000 थी। विदेश मंत्रालय के अनुसार, संशोधित शुल्क 1 जुलाई 2026 से प्रभावी होंगे। इसलिए यदि आप पासपोर्ट बनवाने की योजना बना रहे हैं, तो नई फीस को ध्यान में रखकर आवेदन करें।

From July 1, 2026, obtaining a passport will become more expensive than before. The Ministry of External Affairs has revised the fees for passports and related services. This significant change in charges comes after nearly 14 years. The new rates will be applicable across the country starting July 1, 2026. Consequently, if you apply for a new passport, a renewal, or a re-issuance after July, you will have to pay a higher fee. If you require a passport urgently and opt for the 'Tatkal' (expedited) service, you will now have to pay more for it. The fee for a 36-page Tatkal passport will now be ₹5,000, up from the previous ₹3,500. A 60-page Tatkal passport will now cost ₹6,000, compared to the earlier ₹4,000. These charges include the standard application fee.
If your passport is lost, stolen, or damaged, and you need to get a new one (re-issue), you will now have to pay a higher fee for this as well. Re-issuance of a 36-page passport: Now ₹5,000 (previously ₹3,000). Re-issuance of a 60-page passport: Now ₹6,000 (previously ₹3,500). New fees for standard passports: 36-page standard passport: The fee has been increased from ₹1,500 to ₹2,500. 60-page standard passport: The fee will now be ₹3,500 (previously ₹2,000). According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the revised fees will come into effect on July 1, 2026. Therefore, if you are planning to get a passport, please keep the new fees in mind when applying.
