अध्यक्ष जिला आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण सिरमौर एवं उपायुक्त सिरमौर प्रियंका वर्मा ने चेतवनी जारी करते हुए बताया कि मौसम विभाग के अनुसार आगामी 23 जुलाई, 2026 तक हिमाचल प्रदेश में मानसून के सक्रिय रहने की अधिक संभावना है। जिसके चलते जिला प्रशासन ने इन दिनों में जिला वासियों से एहतियात बरतने, नदी, नालों से दूर रहने तथा भूस्खलन व बाढ़ संभावित क्षेत्रों में न जाने की अपील की है। उन्होंने एडवाइजरी जारी करते हुए कहा कि भारी बारिश के चलते अनावश्यक रूप से घर से बाहर न निकलें तथा वाहन चलाते समय गति सीमा व यातायात नियमों का पालन करें। उन्होंने बताया कि मौसम विभाग के पूर्वानुमान अनुसार 21 व 22 जुलाई 2026 को जिला में कुछ स्थानों पर भारी से बहुत भारी वर्षा होने की संभावना है तथा सिरमौर जिला के लिए रेड अलर्ट जारी है। जबकि 20 जुलाई को येलो अलर्ट, 23 जुलाई को ऑरेंज अलर्ट और जारी किया गया है। उन्होंने जिला वासियों से सतर्क रहने तथा किसी भी आपात स्थिति में जिला प्रशासन के हेल्पलाइन नंबर पर संपर्क करने के लिए कहा।

Priyanka Verma, Chairperson of the District Disaster Management Authority and Deputy Commissioner of Sirmaur, issued a warning stating that, according to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is highly likely to remain active in Himachal Pradesh until July 23, 2026. Consequently, the district administration has appealed to residents to exercise caution, stay away from rivers and streams, and avoid visiting areas prone to landslides and flooding. In the advisory, she urged people not to step out of their homes unnecessarily due to heavy rainfall and to adhere to speed limits and traffic regulations while driving. She noted that the forecast predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall in some parts of the district on July 21 and 22, 2026, with a 'Red Alert' currently in effect for Sirmaur district; additionally, a 'Yellow Alert' has been issued for July 20 and an 'Orange Alert' for July 23. She urged residents to remain vigilant and to contact the district administration's helpline number in the event of any emergency.
