सिरमौर के उभरते क्रिकेट हब को नई पहचान दिलाने की दिशा में एक अहम कदम देखने को मिला। हिमाचल प्रदेश क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन (एचपीसीए) के सचिव मनुज शर्मा ने कोलर खेल मैदान और बहराल स्थित जीटी क्रिकेट सेंटर का दौरा कर दोनों मैदानों की सुविधाओं, खिलाड़ियों के प्रशिक्षण और भविष्य की संभावनाओं का गहन निरीक्षण किया। उनके साथ एचपीसीए सदस्य शैलेंद्र ठाकुर भी मौजूद रहे। कोलर खेल मैदान पहुंचने पर जिला क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन (डीसीए) के अध्यक्ष अतर सिंह नेगी, गुरविंद्र टॉली, गोपाल सिंगटा, संजय कुमार और अश्वनी राय ने उनका स्वागत किया। निरीक्षण के दौरान डीसीए अध्यक्ष अतर सिंह नेगी ने कोलर मैदान को अंतरराष्ट्रीय मानकों के अनुरूप क्रिकेट स्टेडियम के रूप में विकसित करने की योजना और निर्माण कार्य में आ रही चुनौतियों से अवगत कराया। उन्होंने इन बाधाओं को दूर करने के लिए एचपीसीए से सहयोग का आग्रह किया। इसके बाद एचपीसीए टीम ने बहराल स्थित जीटी क्रिकेट सेंटर का निरीक्षण किया। गुरविंद्र टॉली ने सेंटर में उपलब्ध आधुनिक सुविधाओं, खिलाड़ियों को दिए जा रहे प्रशिक्षण और भविष्य की विकास योजनाओं की विस्तृत जानकारी दी। मनुज शर्मा ने दोनों मैदानों की व्यवस्थाओं का बारीकी से अवलोकन करते हुए कहा कि बेहतर आधारभूत ढांचे और सुविधाओं के विकास से भविष्य में सिरमौर में एचपीसीए के मैच आयोजित कराने की संभावनाएं मजबूत होंगी। स्थानीय क्रिकेट प्रेमियों का मानना है कि यदि कोलर मैदान का प्रस्तावित विकास समयबद्ध तरीके से पूरा होता है तो यह क्षेत्र न केवल प्रतिभाशाली खिलाड़ियों के लिए बड़ा मंच बनेगा, बल्कि सिरमौर को प्रदेश के प्रमुख क्रिकेट केंद्रों में भी शामिल कर सकता है।

A significant step has been taken towards establishing a new identity for Sirmaur's emerging cricket hub. Manuj Sharma, Secretary of the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA), visited the Kolar sports ground and the GT Cricket Center at Bahral to conduct a thorough inspection of the facilities, player training, and future prospects at both venues. He was accompanied by HPCA member Shailendra Thakur. Upon his arrival at the Kolar sports ground, he was welcomed by District Cricket Association (DCA) President Atar Singh Negi, along with Gurvinder Tolly, Gopal Singta, Sanjay Kumar, and Ashwani Rai. During the inspection, DCA President Atar Singh Negi briefed him on the plan to develop the Kolar ground into a cricket stadium meeting international standards, as well as the challenges hindering the construction work. He requested HPCA's support in overcoming these obstacles. Subsequently, the HPCA team inspected the GT Cricket Center at Bahral. Gurvinder Tolly provided detailed information regarding the modern facilities available at the center, the training provided to players, and future development plans. After closely examining the arrangements at both venues, Manuj Sharma remarked that developing superior infrastructure and facilities would strengthen the prospects of hosting HPCA matches in Sirmaur in the future. Local cricket enthusiasts believe that if the proposed development of the Kolar ground is completed in a timely manner, the region will not only become a major platform for talented players but could also establish Sirmaur as one of the state's prominent cricket hubs.
