उत्तराखंड के हल्द्वानी में भाई के साथ हुई मामूली कहासुनी एक गंभीर घटना में बदल गई। खाना बनाते समय हुए झगड़े से नाराज़ होकर, 20 साल की एक युवती घर से निकली, गौला पुल पर पहुँची और नदी में कूद गई। उस समय पुल के नीचे मौजूद कुछ युवकों ने तुरंत पानी में उतरकर उसकी जान बचाई और पुलिस को सूचना दी। खबरों के मुताबिक, युवती का परिवार उधम सिंह नगर से करीब एक हफ़्ते पहले ही बनभूलपुरा इलाके के एक किराए के मकान में रहने आया था। बुधवार शाम को खाना बनाते समय उसका अपने भाई से झगड़ा हो गया। हालाँकि परिवार ने शुरू में इसे रोज़मर्रा की घरेलू नोक-झोंक समझा, लेकिन जल्द ही युवती घर से निकल गई और चोरगलिया रेलवे क्रॉसिंग के पास स्थित गौला पुल से नदी में कूद गई। चश्मदीदों की सतर्कता से एक बड़ा हादसा टल गया। पुल के नीचे मौजूद युवकों ने युवती को नदी में गिरते देखा; वे तुरंत पानी में उतरे और उसे सुरक्षित बाहर निकाल लिया। इसके बाद पुलिस की मदद से उसे सुशीला तिवारी अस्पताल (STH) ले जाया गया, जहाँ उसकी हालत गंभीर बनी हुई है। पुलिस ने मामले की जाँच शुरू कर दी है। शुरुआती जाँच से पता चला है कि घटना की वजह घरेलू झगड़ा था। युवती का अभी मेडिकल देखरेख में इलाज चल रहा है, जबकि पुलिस घटनाक्रम की पूरी जानकारी जुटाने के लिए परिवार के सदस्यों से पूछताछ कर रही है।
Young woman jumps into river from Gaula Bridge after argument with brother; condition critical

A minor verbal altercation with her brother turned into a serious incident in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. Angered by a dispute that arose while cooking, a 20-year-old woman left her home, reached the Gaula Bridge, and jumped into the river. Youths present beneath the bridge at the time immediately entered the water, saved her life, and alerted the police. According to reports, the woman's family had moved into a rented house in the Banbhoolpura area from Udham Singh Nagar just about a week ago. On Wednesday evening, an argument broke out between her and her brother while she was cooking. Although the family initially dismissed it as a routine domestic squabble, the woman soon left the house and jumped into the river from the Gaula Bridge, located near the Chorgaliya railway crossing. A major tragedy was averted thanks to the alertness of eyewitnesses. Youths present under the bridge saw the woman fall into the river; they immediately entered the water and pulled her out safely. She was then rushed to Sushila Tiwari Hospital (STH) with police assistance, where she remains in critical condition. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter. Preliminary inquiries indicate that a domestic dispute was the cause of the incident. The woman is currently undergoing treatment under medical supervision, while the police are questioning family members to gather details about the entire sequence of events.
