सिरमौर जिले के पांवटा साहिब से ताल्लुक रखने वाले हिमाचल प्रदेश कैडर के वरिष्ठ आईएएस अधिकारी निपुण जिंदल को केंद्र सरकार में नई जिम्मेदारी मिली है। केंद्र सरकार ने 2014 बैच के इस अधिकारी को केंद्रीय प्रतिनियुक्ति पर नई दिल्ली स्थित आर्थिक मामलों के विभाग (Department of Economic Affairs) में डिप्टी सेक्रेटरी नियुक्त किया है। कार्मिक एवं प्रशिक्षण विभाग (डीओपीटी) ने उनकी नियुक्ति के आदेश जारी कर दिए हैं। उनका कार्यकाल चार वर्ष या अगले आदेश तक, जो भी पहले हो, रहेगा। डीओपीटी ने हिमाचल प्रदेश के मुख्य सचिव को निपुण जिंदल को तत्काल प्रभाव से कार्यमुक्त करने के निर्देश दिए हैं। आदेश के अनुसार उन्हें नियुक्ति पत्र जारी होने के तीन सप्ताह के भीतर नई दिल्ली में अपना कार्यभार संभालना होगा। आर्थिक मामलों का विभाग केंद्र सरकार के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण विभागों में शामिल है, जहां देश की आर्थिक नीतियों, निवेश, वित्तीय मामलों और विकास परियोजनाओं से जुड़े महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय लिए जाते हैं। ऐसे प्रतिष्ठित विभाग में हिमाचल कैडर के अधिकारी की नियुक्ति को प्रशासनिक दृष्टि से बड़ी उपलब्धि माना जा रहा है। निपुण जिंदल वर्तमान में हिमाचल पथ परिवहन निगम (एचआरटीसी) के प्रबंध निदेशक और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग में निदेशक के पद पर कार्यरत हैं और तीन दिन पहले ही उन्होंने पांवटा साहिब बस स्टैंड का निरीक्षण किया था उनके कार्यकाल में एचआरटीसी में हिम बस कार्ड जैसी महत्वपूर्ण पहल शुरू हुई और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी क्षेत्र में कई सुधार लागू किए गए। वह कांगड़ा के उपायुक्त (डीसी) के रूप में भी अपनी सेवाएं दे चुके हैं। पांवटा साहिब के निवासी निपुण जिंदल ने अपनी बारहवीं तक की शिक्षा भी यहीं से प्राप्त की है। उनकी इस नियुक्ति से पांवटा साहिब और पूरे सिरमौर में खुशी का माहौल है।

Nipun Jindal, a senior IAS officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre hailing from Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur district, has been entrusted with a new responsibility by the Central Government. The Centre has appointed this 2014-batch officer as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, New Delhi, on central deputation. The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has issued orders regarding his appointment. His tenure will last for four years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The DoPT has directed the Chief Secretary of Himachal Pradesh to relieve Nipun Jindal of his duties with immediate effect. According to the order, he must assume charge in New Delhi within three weeks of the issuance of the appointment letter. The Department of Economic Affairs is one of the most crucial departments of the Central Government, responsible for key decisions regarding the country's economic policies, investments, financial matters, and development projects. The appointment of a Himachal cadre officer to such a prestigious department is considered a significant administrative achievement. Nipun Jindal currently serves as the Managing Director of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) and as Director of the Information Technology Department; notably, he had inspected the Paonta Sahib bus stand just three days ago. During his tenure, significant initiatives like the 'Him Bus Card' were launched in the HRTC, and various reforms were implemented in the information technology sector. He has also served as the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kangra. A resident of Paonta Sahib, Nipun Jindal completed his schooling up to the 12th grade in the town itself. His appointment has sparked a wave of happiness in Paonta Sahib and across the entire Sirmaur district.
