जिला सिरमौर के पुलिस थाना नाहन की टीम ने गश्त के दौरान गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर नया बाजार स्थित एक होटल/टी-स्टॉल पर कार्रवाई करते हुए अवैध रूप से शराब परोसने के आरोप में होटल संचालक के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया है। पुलिस के अनुसार, टीम जब होटल पर पहुंची तो अंदर से शोर-शराबे की आवाजें सुनाई दीं। संदेह के आधार पर होटल की जांच की गई, जहां काउंटर के पीछे लगी मेज पर दो युवक कांच के गिलासों में शराब पीते हुए मिले। पूछताछ में होटल संचालक ने अपनी पहचान नवीन कुमार पुत्र स्वर्गीय हरिशरण निवासी मकान नंबर 332/6, नया बाजार, नाहन के रूप में बताई। पुलिस ने संचालक से ग्राहकों को शराब परोसने संबंधी वैध लाइसेंस या परमिट प्रस्तुत करने को कहा, लेकिन वह कोई भी दस्तावेज नहीं दिखा सका। जांच में सामने आया कि वह होटल/टी-स्टॉल की आड़ में बिना अनुमति ग्राहकों को शराब परोस रहा था। इस पर पुलिस ने आरोपी के खिलाफ हिमाचल प्रदेश आबकारी अधिनियम के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया है। मामले की जांच जारी है।

Acting on a tip-off received during a patrol, a team from the Nahan Police Station (Sirmaur district) raided a hotel/tea stall in Naya Bazar and registered a case against the operator for illegally serving liquor. According to the police, the team heard the sound of commotion coming from inside the premises upon arrival. Acting on suspicion, they searched the establishment and found two young men drinking liquor from glass tumblers at a table located behind the counter. Upon questioning, the operator identified himself as Naveen Kumar, son of the late Harisharan, a resident of House No. 332/6, Naya Bazar, Nahan. The police asked the operator to produce a valid license or permit for serving liquor to customers, but he failed to present any such documentation. The investigation revealed that he was serving liquor to customers without authorization under the cover of the hotel/tea stall. Consequently, the police have registered a case against the accused under the Himachal Pradesh Excise Act. The investigation is ongoing.
