ऐतिहासिक शहर नाहन के प्रसिद्ध रानीताल उद्यान के सौंदर्य और स्वच्छता को बनाए रखने के लिए एक विशेष स्वच्छता एवं पौधारोपण अभियान का आयोजन किया गया। इस अभियान के दौरान होम गार्ड के जवानों और एनसीसी कैडेट्स ने मिलकर रानीताल पार्क परिसर की व्यापक साफ-सफाई की तथा विभिन्न प्रजातियों के पौधे रोपे। इस अवसर पर जिला सिरमौर की उपायुक्त प्रियंका वर्मा विशेष रूप से मौजूद रहीं। सफाई अभियान के दौरान जवानों और कैडेट्स ने उद्यान के कोने-कोने से कचरा और प्लास्टिक वेस्ट एकत्र कर उसका उचित निस्तारण किया। उल्लेखनीय है कि होम गार्ड विभाग ने रानीताल उद्यान को गोद लिया हुआ है, जिसके तहत इसकी देखभाल और सुंदरता को बनाए रखने के लिए समय-समय पर इस तरह के प्रयास किए जाते हैं। कार्यक्रम के दौरान पर्यावरण संरक्षण का संदेश देते हुए उद्यान परिसर में पौधारोपण भी किया गया। उपायुक्त प्रियंका वर्मा ने स्वयं पौधा रोपकर इस हरियाली मुहिम की शुरुआत की। उन्होंने इस सराहनीय पहल के लिए होम गार्ड्स और एनसीसी कैडेट्स के अनुशासन और सेवा भावना की जमकर प्रशंसा की। इस अवसर पर उपायुक्त ने समस्त नाहन वासियों और पर्यटकों से भी रानीताल उद्यान की स्वच्छता बनाए रखने की भावुक अपील की। उन्होंने कहा कि रानीताल नाहन की धरोहर और पहचान है, इसे स्वच्छ और सुंदर बनाए रखना केवल प्रशासन या किसी एक संस्था का नहीं, बल्कि हर नागरिक का नैतिक कर्तव्य है। उन्होंने लोगों से आग्रह किया कि वे पार्क में कचरा न फैलाएं और सार्वजनिक संपत्तियों का रखरखाव एक जिम्मेदार नागरिक की तरह करें।

A special cleanliness and plantation drive was organized to preserve the beauty and cleanliness of the famous Ranital Park in the historic town of Nahan. During this campaign, Home Guard personnel and NCC cadets collaborated to thoroughly clean the Ranital Park premises and planted saplings of various species. Sirmaur Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Verma was specially present on the occasion. During the cleanup drive, the personnel and cadets collected garbage and plastic waste from every corner of the park and ensured its proper disposal. It is noteworthy that the Home Guard Department has adopted Ranital Park; consequently, such efforts are undertaken periodically to maintain its upkeep and beauty. Saplings were also planted within the park premises during the event to convey a message of environmental conservation. Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Verma inaugurated this green initiative by planting a sapling herself. She highly commended the discipline and spirit of service demonstrated by the Home Guards and NCC cadets in this praiseworthy initiative. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner also made an earnest appeal to all residents of Nahan and tourists to maintain the cleanliness of Ranital Park. She stated that Ranital is a heritage and identity of Nahan, and keeping it clean and beautiful is the moral duty of every citizen, not just the administration or any single organization. She urged people not to litter in the park and to treat public property with the care expected of responsible citizens.
