 पांवटा साहिब के बांगरन रोड स्थित बाईपास पर शनिवार देर रात करीब 11 बजे पास लेने को लेकर दो ट्राला चालकों के बीच विवाद इतना बढ़ गया कि दोनों पक्षों में जमकर लाठी-डंडे चल गए। घटना का वीडियो भी सामने आया है, जिसमें दोनों पक्ष एक-दूसरे पर डंडों से हमला करते हुए दिखाई दे रहे हैं। मारपीट के दौरान कुछ देर के लिए मौके पर अफरा-तफरी का माहौल बन गया। लड़ाई में शामिल लोग अपनी जान बचाने के लिए इधर-उधर भागते नजर आए। इस हिंसक झड़प में एक ट्राला चालक गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गया जिसकी पहचान राजेंद्र सिंह (30 वर्ष) पुत्र यशपाल सिंह, निवासी गांव कलाखेड़ी, तहसील नकुड़, जिला सहारनपुर (उत्तर प्रदेश) के रूप में हुई है। घायल को पहले सिविल अस्पताल पांवटा साहिब लाया गया, जहां प्राथमिक उपचार के बाद उसकी गंभीर हालत को देखते हुए पीजीआई चंडीगढ़ रेफर कर दिया गया। अस्पताल प्रशासन ने घटना की सूचना पुलिस को दी, जिसके बाद पुलिस सक्रिय हुई और मामले की जांच शुरू कर दी। पुलिस ने दोनों पक्षों से जुड़े लोगों को थाने बुलाकर पूछताछ शुरू कर दी है। प्रारंभिक जानकारी के अनुसार विवाद ट्रालों को ओवरटेक (पास) देने को लेकर हुआ था, जो देखते ही देखते खूनी संघर्ष में बदल गया। पुलिस का कहना है कि मामले की जांच जारी है और दोनों पक्षों के बयान दर्ज किए जा रहे हैं। जांच के आधार पर आगामी कानूनी कार्रवाई अमल में लाई जाएगी।

Late Saturday night, around 11 PM, a dispute between two trailer drivers over overtaking escalated into a violent clash involving the use of sticks and batons on the bypass road at Bangran, Paonta Sahib. A video of the incident has surfaced, showing individuals from both sides attacking each other with sticks. Chaos ensued at the scene during the altercation, with people involved in the fight seen scrambling to save themselves. One trailer driver was critically injured in the clash; he has been identified as Rajendra Singh (30), son of Yashpal Singh, a resident of Kalakhedi village, Tehsil Nakur, District Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh). The injured man was initially taken to the Civil Hospital in Paonta Sahib, but due to his critical condition, he was referred to PGI Chandigarh after receiving first aid. The hospital administration informed the police, who subsequently swung into action and initiated an investigation. The police have summoned individuals from both parties to the station for questioning. Preliminary reports indicate that the dispute began over overtaking, quickly escalating into a violent confrontation. Police state that the investigation is ongoing and statements from both sides are being recorded; further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
