हिमाचल प्रदेश पुलिस अक्सर अपने अनुशासन और कर्तव्यनिष्ठा के लिए जानी जाती है, लेकिन नाहन में पुलिस जवानों ने संवेदनशीलता और इंसानियत की एक ऐसी मिसाल पेश की है, जिसकी हर तरफ सराहना हो रही है। गुन्नूघाट पुलिस चौकी के जवानों ने न केवल एक अज्ञात मूर्छित व्यक्ति को समय रहते अस्पताल पहुंचाया, बल्कि घंटों तक एक तिमारदार की तरह उसकी तीमारदारी में भी जुटे रहे। प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, पुलिस को सुबह करीब 10:00 बजे सूचना मिली थी कि क्षेत्र में एक अज्ञात व्यक्ति बेसुध अवस्था में पड़ा हुआ है। सूचना मिलते ही गुन्नूघाट पुलिस टीम के हेड कांस्टेबल अरुण कुमार, प्रशांत तोमर, कांस्टेबल चमन लाल और मदन बिना कोई समय गंवाए तुरंत मौके पर पहुंचे। जवानों ने स्थिति की गंभीरता को देखते हुए तत्काल 108 एम्बुलेंस बुलाई और उस बेसुध व्यक्ति को डॉ. यशवंत सिंह परमार राजकीय मेडिकल कॉलेज एवं अस्पताल, नाहन पहुंचाया। अस्पताल पहुंचने के बाद डॉक्टरों ने अज्ञात व्यक्ति का आपातकालीन उपचार शुरू किया। हालांकि, व्यक्ति को होश नहीं आ पाया था और उसकी पहचान भी स्थापित नहीं हो सकी थी। इसके बावजूद पुलिस जवान सुबह से लेकर देर शाम तक अस्पताल में ही डटे रहे और एक परिजन की तरह उसकी देखरेख करते रहे। हेड कांस्टेबल अरुण कुमार, प्रशांत तोमर, कांस्टेबल मदन और चमन लाल ने खाकी वर्दी के पीछे छिपी निस्वार्थ मानवीय संवेदनाओं का परिचय दिया। मेडिकल कॉलेज नाहन में प्राथमिक उपचार के बाद भी जब अज्ञात व्यक्ति की हालत में सुधार नहीं हुआ और उसकी स्थिति नाजुक बनी रही, तो डॉक्टरों ने उसे बेहतर इलाज के लिए PGI चंडीगढ़ रेफर कर दिया। व्यक्ति की गंभीर स्थिति को देखते हुए पुलिस विभाग ने उसे अकेला नहीं छोड़ा। कांस्टेबल चमन लाल और करमजीत खुद एम्बुलेंस में मरीज के साथ PGI चंडीगढ़ के लिए रवाना हुए हैं, ताकि रास्ते में और अस्पताल पहुंचने पर उसकी चिकित्सा प्रक्रियाओं में कोई बाधा न आए।

Himachal Pradesh Police is often recognized for its discipline and dedication to duty, but police personnel in Nahan have set an example of sensitivity and humanity that is earning widespread praise. Personnel from the Gunnughat police post not only rushed an unconscious, unidentified man to the hospital in time but also stayed by his side for hours, tending to him just as a family member would. According to reports, the police received information around 10:00 AM that an unidentified man was lying unconscious in the area. Upon receiving the information, the Gunnughat police team—comprising Head Constables Arun Kumar and Prashant Tomar, and Constables Chaman Lal and Madan—immediately rushed to the scene without wasting any time. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the personnel promptly summoned a '108' ambulance and transported the unconscious man to Dr. Y.S. Parmar Government Medical College and Hospital, Nahan. After arrival, doctors initiated emergency treatment for the unidentified man. However, he did not regain consciousness, nor could his identity be established. Despite this, the police personnel remained at the hospital from morning until late evening, caring for him like a relative. Head Constables Arun Kumar and Prashant Tomar, along with Constables Madan and Chaman Lal, demonstrated the selfless human compassion that lies beneath the khaki uniform. When the unidentified man's condition did not improve after initial treatment at the Nahan Medical College and remained critical, doctors referred him to PGI Chandigarh for advanced care. Given the severity of his condition, the police department did not leave him unattended; Constables Chaman Lal and Karamjit personally accompanied the patient in the ambulance to PGI Chandigarh to ensure there were no obstacles in his medical procedures during the journey or upon arrival at the hospital.
