जिला सिरमौर पुलिस की SIU टीम ने मादक पदार्थों की तस्करी के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करते हुए राजबन के समीप एक व्यक्ति को 7.54 ग्राम चिट्टे (हेरोइन) के साथ गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपी की पहचान पियुष ठाकुर निवासी गांव व डाकघर सतौन, तहसील कमरऊ, जिला सिरमौर के रूप में हुई है। पुलिस के अनुसार SIU टीम गश्त के दौरान राजबन के पास मौजूद थी। इसी दौरान टीम को गुप्त सूचना मिली कि एक व्यक्ति अपनी मोटरसाइकिल नंबर HP85AA-0453 में चिट्टा छिपाकर ले जा रहा है। सूचना के आधार पर पुलिस ने कार्रवाई करते हुए आरोपी की तलाशी ली। तलाशी के दौरान आरोपी के कब्जे से 7.54 ग्राम चिट्टा (हेरोइन) बरामद हुआ। इसके बाद पुलिस ने आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। मामले में पुलिस थाना पुरुवाला में NDPS एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया है। पुलिस ने मामले की जांच शुरू कर दी है और बरामद नशीले पदार्थ के स्रोत तथा इसकी तस्करी से जुड़े अन्य पहलुओं की जांच की जा रही है।

Acting against drug trafficking, the SIU team of the Sirmaur District Police arrested a man near Rajban with 7.54 grams of 'Chitta' (heroin). The accused has been identified as Piyush Thakur, a resident of Village and Post Office Sataun, Tehsil Kamrau, District Sirmaur. According to the police, the SIU team was patrolling near Rajban when they received a tip-off that a man was transporting 'Chitta' concealed in his motorcycle (registration number HP85AA-0453). Acting on this information, the police searched the accused and recovered 7.54 grams of 'Chitta' (heroin) from his possession. Subsequently, the accused was arrested. A case has been registered at the Puruwala Police Station under the NDPS Act. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter, looking into the source of the recovered contraband and other aspects related to the trafficking.
