फीस वृद्धि के विरोध में ABVP ने कॉलेज परिसर में किया शांति हवन

जिला मुख्यालय स्थित पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट कॉलेज में फीस वृद्धि को लेकर एबीवीपी और कॉलेज प्रशासन के बीच विवाद जारी है। फीस वृद्धि वापस लेने की मांग को लेकर एबीवीपी कार्यकर्ताओं ने शुक्रवार को कॉलेज परिसर में शांति हवन यज्ञ किया। कार्यकर्ताओं ने हवन में आहुतियां डालकर कॉलेज प्रशासन के लिए सद्बुद्धि की कामना की। एबीवीपी कॉलेज इकाई अध्यक्ष सूरज शर्मा ने कहा कि सेल्फ फाइनांस कोर्सेज की बढ़ी हुई फीस से विद्यार्थियों और उनके अभिभावकों पर आर्थिक बोझ बढ़ रहा है। उन्होंने फीस वृद्धि तत्काल वापस लेने के साथ विद्यार्थियों को बेहतर वाई-फाई सुविधा देने और निर्माणाधीन बीसीए लैब का काम जल्द पूरा करवाने की मांग की। संगठन का कहना है कि विद्यार्थियों की समस्याओं को लेकर पहले भी सांकेतिक भूख हड़ताल की जा चुकी है। वहीं, कॉलेज प्रिंसिपल डॉ. मीता शर्मा ने कहा कि हवन आयोजित करने के लिए कॉलेज प्रशासन से कोई अनुमति नहीं ली गई थी। उन्होंने बताया कि फीस वृद्धि के मुद्दे पर प्रशासन लगातार विचार कर रहा है और विद्यार्थियों के हित में उचित निर्णय लिया जाएगा। प्रिंसिपल के अनुसार, चार दिन पहले हुई बैठक में एबीवीपी पदाधिकारियों ने निर्णय आने तक कॉलेज परिसर में किसी तरह की गतिविधि नहीं करने पर सहमति जताई थी। इसके बावजूद हवन आयोजित किया गया।
ABVP Performs 'Shanti Havan' on College Campus to Protest Fee Hike

A dispute persists between the ABVP and the college administration regarding the fee hike at the Post Graduate College located at the district headquarters. On Friday, ABVP activists performed a 'Shanti Havan' (a ritual fire ceremony for peace) on the college campus to demand the withdrawal of the fee hike. While offering oblations into the sacred fire, the activists prayed for the college administration to be granted the wisdom to make the right decision. ABVP college unit president Suraj Sharma stated that the increased fees for self-financed courses are placing an additional financial burden on students and their parents. He demanded the immediate rollback of the fee hike, the provision of better Wi-Fi facilities for students, and the speedy completion of the under-construction BCA lab. The organization noted that a symbolic hunger strike had previously been held regarding students' grievances. Meanwhile, College Principal Dr. Meeta Sharma stated that no permission had been sought from the college administration to organize the Havan. She mentioned that the administration is actively considering the fee hike issue and that an appropriate decision will be taken in the students' interest. According to the Principal, ABVP office-bearers had agreed during a meeting four days ago not to conduct any activities on the college campus until a decision was reached; however, the Havan was organized despite this agreement.
