राजधानी शिमला के ऐतिहासिक रिज मैदान में तलवार लेकर घूम रहे कुछ युवकों का वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल होने के बाद शिमला पुलिस ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए महज दो घंटे के भीतर वीडियो में दिखाई दे रहे युवकों की पहचान कर उन्हें पकड़ लिया। पुलिस ने उनके खिलाफ हिमाचल प्रदेश पुलिस अधिनियम, 2007 की धारा 114 के तहत निवारक कार्रवाई की। पुलिस जांच में सामने आया कि युवकों के पास मौजूद तलवारें डमी (नकली) थीं। इसी कारण उनके विरुद्ध निवारक कार्रवाई की गई।पुलिस ने स्पष्ट किया कि सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर इस प्रकार का प्रदर्शन, जिससे लोगों में भय का माहौल बने या कानून-व्यवस्था प्रभावित होने की आशंका हो, किसी भी स्थिति में स्वीकार नहीं किया जाएगा। शिमला पुलिस ने कहा कि सार्वजनिक सुरक्षा और शांति बनाए रखना उनकी सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता है तथा भविष्य में भी ऐसे मामलों में तत्काल और सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

After a video of some young men brandishing swords on Shimla's historic Ridge Maidan went viral on social media, Shimla police took swift action and within just two hours identified and apprehended the young men seen in the video. Police took preventive action against them under Section 114 of the Himachal Pradesh Police Act, 2007. Police investigation revealed that the swords they were carrying were dummy (fake), which is why preventive action was taken against them.The police clarified that such demonstrations in public places that create an atmosphere of fear or threaten to disrupt law and order will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Shimla police stated that maintaining public safety and peace is their top priority, and that immediate and strict action will be taken in such cases in the future.
