जिला सिरमौर के पांवटा साहिब क्षेत्र के आंजभोज के डांडा आंज और टोरु गांवों में इन दिनों गंभीर पेयजल संकट बना हुआ है। कई दिनों से घरों में पानी की नियमित आपूर्ति नहीं होने से ग्रामीणों को बूंद-बूंद पानी के लिए जूझना पड़ रहा है। पेयजल संकट के कारण लोगों की दैनिक दिनचर्या प्रभावित हो रही है, वहीं पशुओं के लिए भी पानी की व्यवस्था करना मुश्किल हो गया है। स्थानीय ग्रामीणों ने आरोप लगाया कि विभाग की ओर से पानी की आपूर्ति नियमित और व्यवस्थित ढंग से नहीं की जा रही है। ग्रामीण नेत्र सिंह, ललित तोमर, सुरेंद्र सिंह, खजान सिंह, कल्याण सिंह, मदन सिंह और राकेश कुमार ने बताया कि कई दिनों से नलों में पानी नहीं आ रहा है। ऐसे में उन्हें पेयजल की भारी परेशानी का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। ग्रामीणों ने चेतावनी दी है कि यदि जल्द ही पेयजल आपूर्ति सुचारु नहीं की गई तो वे जन आंदोलन शुरू करने को मजबूर होंगे, जिसकी पूरी जिम्मेदारी संबंधित विभाग की होगी। उधर, इस संबंध में विभाग के जूनियर इंजीनियर विनय धीमान ने बताया कि जल स्रोत में पानी की कमी के कारण आपूर्ति प्रभावित हुई है। उन्होंने कहा कि उपलब्ध संसाधनों के अनुसार पानी की आपूर्ति को व्यवस्थित करने के प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं और जल्द ही स्थिति में सुधार कर लोगों को राहत प्रदान की जाएगी।

A severe drinking water crisis has gripped the villages of Danda Anj and Toru in the Anj-Bhoj area of Paonta Sahib, Sirmaur district. With no regular water supply to their homes for several days, villagers are struggling to secure even a drop of water. This crisis is disrupting daily routines and making it difficult to arrange water for livestock. Local villagers allege that the department is failing to provide a regular and organized water supply. Villagers—including Netra Singh, Lalit Tomar, Surendra Singh, Khajan Singh, Kalyan Singh, Madan Singh, and Rakesh Kumar—reported that the taps have been dry for days, causing them immense hardship. The villagers have warned that if the water supply is not restored smoothly soon, they will be compelled to launch a public agitation, with the concerned department bearing full responsibility. Meanwhile, Junior Engineer Vinay Dhiman stated that the supply has been affected due to a shortage of water at the source. He added that efforts are underway to manage the supply based on available resources, and the situation will soon improve to provide relief to the residents.
