पुलिस थाना माजरा के अंतर्गत पड़दूनी पंचायत में करीब दो माह पहले हुए करण सिंह हत्याकांड में अब तक आरोपियों की गिरफ्तारी न होने से परिजनों और ग्रामीणों में रोष है। मामले को लेकर मृतक के परिजनों और ग्रामीणों का एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल गुरुवार को डीएसपी पांवटा साहिब से मिला और ज्ञापन सौंपकर हत्यारों को जल्द गिरफ्तार करने की मांग की। ज्ञापन में कहा गया कि पड़दूनी पंचायत में अज्ञात हमलावरों ने रात के समय लूटपाट और गंभीर मारपीट करने के बाद करण सिंह की हत्या कर दी थी। घटना को लगभग दो माह बीत चुके हैं, लेकिन पुलिस अभी तक हत्यारों तक नहीं पहुंच पाई है। परिजनों का आरोप है कि धीमी जांच के कारण उन्हें न्याय मिलने में देरी हो रही है। परिजनों ने कहा कि अज्ञात हमलावरों द्वारा की गई हत्या के बाद मृतक के परिवार और गांव के लोग दहशत के माहौल में जी रहे हैं। ग्रामीणों में रात के समय भय बना रहता है और कई लोग डर के कारण ठीक से सो भी नहीं पाते। पड़दूनी पंचायत प्रधान हरिकेश चौधरी के माध्यम से प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने डीएसपी से मांग की कि हत्याकांड की जांच में तेजी लाई जाए और आरोपियों को जल्द से जल्द गिरफ्तार किया जाए। प्रतिनिधिमंडल में मृतक के भाई सतपाल सिंह, बृज मोहन सहित रिश्तेदार मुकेश कुमार, देविंदर चौधरी, भजन चौधरी, रघुवीर सिंह और उपप्रधान सुनील चौधरी शामिल रहे। परिजनों ने चेतावनी दी कि यदि जल्द हत्यारों की गिरफ्तारी नहीं हुई तो उन्हें मजबूरन धरना-प्रदर्शन का रास्ता अपनाना पड़ेगा।

There is growing resentment among the family members of the deceased and the villagers of Parduni Panchayat—falling under the jurisdiction of Majra Police Station—over the failure to arrest the accused in the Karan Singh murder case, which occurred nearly two months ago. A delegation comprising the deceased's family and villagers met the DSP of Paonta Sahib on Thursday and submitted a memorandum demanding the immediate arrest of the killers. The memorandum stated that unidentified assailants had murdered Karan Singh in Parduni Panchayat after robbing and severely assaulting him at night. Although nearly two months have passed since the incident, the police have yet to apprehend the perpetrators. The family alleges that the slow pace of the investigation is delaying justice. They stated that the family and villagers have been living in a state of fear since the murder; villagers remain terrified at night, with many unable to sleep properly due to the prevailing fear. Through Parduni Panchayat Pradhan Harikesh Chaudhary, the delegation urged the DSP to expedite the investigation and arrest the accused as soon as possible. The delegation included the deceased's brothers, Satpal Singh and Brij Mohan, along with relatives Mukesh Kumar, Devinder Chaudhary, Bhajan Chaudhary, and Raghuvir Singh, as well as Up-Pradhan Sunil Chaudhary. The family warned that if the killers are not arrested soon, they will be compelled to resort to protests and demonstrations.
