दिल्ली के जंतर-मंतर में प्रदर्शन कर रहे छात्रों के साथ हुई कथित मारपीट और लाठीचार्ज को लेकर राजनीतिक माहौल गरमा गया है। कांग्रेस नेता प्रदीप चौहान ने केंद्र सरकार पर निशाना साधते हुए कहा कि देश के भविष्य के साथ अन्याय किया जा रहा है।प्रदीप चौहान ने कहा कि जिन युवाओं को प्रधानमंत्री देश का भविष्य बताते हैं, आज वही युवा अपनी मांगों को लेकर सड़कों पर उतरने को मजबूर हैं और उनकी आवाज सुनने के बजाय उन पर लाठीचार्ज किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि सामने आए वीडियो बेहद चिंताजनक हैं और लोकतंत्र में अपनी बात रखने वाले छात्रों के साथ इस तरह का व्यवहार स्वीकार नहीं किया जा सकता। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि देश का युवा आज बेरोजगारी से जूझ रहा है, लेकिन केंद्र सरकार रोजगार, बेहतर शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं और युवाओं के भविष्य को सुरक्षित बनाने जैसे मूल मुद्दों पर गंभीरता से काम नहीं कर रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार युवाओं की समस्याओं का समाधान करने के बजाय उनकी आवाज दबाने का प्रयास कर रही है। प्रदीप चौहान ने कहा कि आज लाखों पढ़े-लिखे युवक-युवतियां रोजगार की तलाश में भटक रहे हैं। ऐसे में सरकार का दायित्व है कि वह युवाओं से संवाद करे, उनकी मांगों को सुने और समाधान निकाले, न कि उन पर बल प्रयोग करे। उन्होंने केंद्र सरकार से सवाल किया कि आखिर युवाओं के साथ सौतेला व्यवहार क्यों किया जा रहा है? उनकी मांगों को क्यों नहीं सुना जा रहा? उन्होंने मांग की कि छात्रों के साथ हुई घटना की निष्पक्ष जांच कराई जाए और युवाओं के भविष्य को लेकर ठोस एवं प्रभावी कदम उठाए जाएं।

The political atmosphere has heated up following the alleged assault and lathi-charge on students protesting at Delhi's Jantar Mantar. Targeting the Central Government, Congress leader Pradeep Chauhan stated that an injustice is being committed against the future of the nation. Chauhan remarked that the very youth whom the Prime Minister describes as the country's future are today forced to take to the streets to voice their demands; yet, instead of their voices being heard, they are being subjected to a lathi-charge. He described the emerging videos as deeply concerning, asserting that such treatment of students exercising their right to express themselves in a democracy is unacceptable. He alleged that while the country's youth are grappling with unemployment, the Central Government is failing to work seriously on fundamental issues such as employment, quality education, healthcare facilities, and securing the future of the youth. He accused the government of attempting to suppress the voices of the youth rather than resolving their problems. Chauhan noted that lakhs of educated young men and women are currently wandering in search of employment. In such a scenario, he argued, it is the government's responsibility to engage in dialogue with the youth, listen to their demands, and find solutions, rather than resorting to the use of force against them. He questioned the Central Government as to why the youth are being treated in such a discriminatory manner and why their demands are being ignored. He demanded an impartial inquiry into the incident involving the students and urged the government to take concrete and effective measures regarding the future of the youth.
